There'll be someone else this year!i worry i'd be stuck with him if i'm having to put out fires in other parts of my team (though not starting with Lumumba this year will help alleviate this)..

were discussed in another threadSome slightly cheaper guys I haven't seen discussed (yet) in this thread - unless I'm going blind..:
Even if he fails it wont be a loss as he'll be in every team anyway. But yes he is ready to go, and will probably be a mistake not to grab him.
Still struggling with this 3rd forward, I don't really like any of the premiums priced players outside of Martin & Barlow, Zorko is my back up, outside of that ??? Having a look at a few guys who have had issues in the past and had a solid season last season and will look to improve this time around,
found Allen Christensen, personal issues and back surgery at the start of last season didn't get much of a pre-season but still knocked out a 88 average, full pre-season this time around is a big tick, style of play suits SC, role? a concern, high half forward.. will he get enough?
I'm agreeing with you, but have Dollshouse n Greene @ F3/4 at the moment. I'm feeling the same about DEF. Follow your gut I reckon, then wait for round one selections. Playing 2 Premo forwards will mean you go very deep on other lines, deeper than most I'd say.
Bird- My only concern is he's in Essendon and can play anywhere on the ground so with their weak line up I think they might throw him around a fair bit, don't doubt his ability though and I think could be a keeper..... Simpkin and Wells are currently the reason I don't have him, I think Wells and Simpkin could potentially be an F6 maybe even F5 keeper, I don't see Bird reaching much higher than F6 or F5 keeper, so I'm happy to save $$$

FWIW on Bird - true that he averaged 88SC in 2014 when allowed to play more offensively at Sydney.. true that in theory Crowley should be handling the tagging duties (if Worsfold goes that route).. but he isn't cheap, even with his 10% pricing discount (priced at ~64, averaged ~72) (thanks, Captain Obvious!). Need to see him playing some kind of accumulator role throughout he NAB otherwise i fear he could be a value trap (vs rookies) if he doesn't get to an 85-90 average - and i worry i'd be stuck with him if i'm having to put out fires in other parts of my team (though not starting with Lumumba this year will help alleviate this)..
just mucked around with my team again and have the forward set up of
Barlow, Walters, Greene, Anderson, Bennedy, Petracca, Kerridge, Howard.
No dons this time
True but when does Wells play in the 1s? Is there an estimated return yet?Wells > Anderson.
Anderson hasnt cracked Kangaroos best 22 yet.
yep, should play the next NABTrue but when does Wells play in the 1s? Is there an estimated return yet?
Such an awkward price though. In a normal year he would be definitely one to look at. But at the price and with the other sub-250k fwds that are around, it'll be hard to fit him in.Menzel 11k 8h, DE78%, 5t 1g looked good and fit, could this be his year?
