Dusty was the first picked for me this year - saw big potential to up his scoring to 115+ this year.

However, after last night he's almost out the door. Not related to his score, but more his mental state. He was clearly aggro last night and his scoring suffered. His Dad has been arrested and looks like he'll be deported, that's not going to go away any time soon and he's never been the most stable guy mentally. All of a sudden he's gone from the safest pick ever to incredibly risky and I don't think I can start him now.

Thoughts from the rest of you???

All good points but still a lock for me and too big a risk not to start him

Has been out of my team for a couple of weeks. Don't really see him improving on 105. I don't think he can really hurt you too much if he doesn't start in your team. In his best run last year he averaged 119 (rd 2-12), which makes 115 for a season unlikely. He'll have his bad games so he's an easy upgrade target.

Been tossing the idea of bringing in a POD for Martin for a couple of weeks now.
Only because I wanted to be unique in some way.
The situation with his old man is and will be playing on his mind for some time to come.
I haven't made the trade just yet..not sure if I would, but the player I was thinking about will picked up by many now.

I've now got a Crow locked in my forward line - Jarryd Lyons. $241k, more midfield minutes. Worn the green vest 9 times in 2015, without the vest last year he scored 46, 94, 105 and 67. The 46 came in round and the others when he returned to the side later in the year.

23yo, 5th season in the AFL, strong NAB form with 79, 77 and 98 from about 70% TOG in each. Reckon he might average 80 this year, might even average as Wells does and he's a litttle bit cheaper. He's very much locked in to my side.

Like his kick to handball ratio, DE% is okay, only worry for me and it's a big worry for anyone who was sub a lot previous years is that they are a big chance of getting dropped.

It's interesting watching Barlow and the stats closely. 4 tackles in the first half - I missed the first one, the 2nd one was good and should have won a free, the 3rd and 4th were after the Geelong player disposed of the ball and actually should have been frees against, let alone not counted as stats. Funny how little things like umpiring decisions can mean 20 points up or down!!

Here's just another name to throw around: Caleb Daniel. $295K (54 average).

NAB1: 115SC 100%DE 73%TOG 17 touches/ 5 contested 1 goal
NAB2: 79SC 78%DE 82%TOG 14 touches/ 4 contested
NAB3: 88SC 80%DE 80%TOG 20 touches/ 6 contested

Averaged 94 for NAB, also did very well in the intra club.

There's so much value in the forward line that throwing in a 300k kid who most probably isn't a keeper, just feels like the money could be better spend elsewhere. He's fringe best 22 as it is so its a massive risk for that spend.

Starting SJ over T Green would be interesting, Got a gut feeling on this one that SJ will finish in front. Missing games is the risk.

The reason I bring Caleb up is because I don't mind the idea of a mid pricer in the forward line. It'd be a very easy fix if he doesn't work out, going down to an expensive rookie like Milera.

ha ha ha.. love it.
But he's been in the shop for a while and I think he just may turn into the little engine that could!
mean while there are now better, faster engines that do his job quicker and more efficient

Am I the only one keen on D Menzel?? Sure hes risky with his dodgy knees but hes got a high ceiling and I can see him averaging 90-100. At 260k he could make a quick 200k if he has a couple decent games early
