Martin, Barow, Stringer and Wells are all locks for me..
Two mid pricers (risks) Stringer will be spending more time in the guts and Wells I've had every year (He has to give me some return sooner or later)
Rookies yet to be decided
Stringer is a massive risk. i love the kid and the way he plays. the fact he only scored 3 hundreds last year nearly blew me away. too risky and a flat no for me. Draftable YES

Agree on Stringer, absolute gun but he won't be in my SC side

Would need to see him play next week to keep him in my team though, given he is 600k and has had some issues in the last 2 seasons
agree with that... Apparently he's looking to play the last NAB then a practice intraclub before round 1

will be a nice VC option against Carlton in round 1
Loved riding the Lids train last year but at full price
Depends how you look at it, but arguably isn't full price, without the injury game and the return game he would be priced at 640k+... I definitely get your point though, 600k+ is a lot to pay for a player likely to start slowly

I like the look of Shane Edwardes this year. I wont pick him due to Martin and Lids already potential forward line positions and Ill only be picking one regardless.
He will be in for a big year, playing HFF and occasionally rotating through the midfield. Has the potential to average 20 touches and 1-2 goals per game.
For people that have Dollhouse and Barlow in M1&2, he could save a bit of cash, fitting in Greene and Wells. Would be a nice looking forward line!

Prestia hurt too. Lonergen hurt last night. No Swallow. No JOM. GC in disarray (again).
All of this has me thinking seriously about A. Hall
Has attended over 80% of Center bounces and looked impressive late last year.
Those couple of 150s in his stats show he has a high ceiling.
Really tempted.

The only issue I have with Hall is when Ablett, Prestia, Swallow and O'Meara all come back how much midfield time will he see? Its all well and good saying he attend 80% of centre bounces last year, but I recon I would have got a call up in that side. Good luck on spending $420k on a "MAYBE" Bloke. Jack Martin is better if you want to take a risk and is cheaper.

I like him, thought about him early but I can't have Lids, Martin and Edwards... Martin, Barlow, Kerridge, Wells are pretty much locked on my field so it gives me 2 more spots to fill, would be surprised if it wasn't 1 rookie and 1 high end premium... So Lids and Ben Kennedy are the two other spots currently

can't really fit in Edwards but he's definitely one in that price range who should be considered more

Surely that form last season showed to Rocket that he deserves a spot in that midfield, no doubt Eade would have loved the tackles in the last NAB game.

Just had a read through this article on Lids:
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/a...n/news-story/ce7afa2313d551fa73647255c621d36d

Says the obvious points such as he'll need to be managed for the rest of his career etc, but the medical staff is confident they can get him through the whole year (he was well managed after he returned last season, so maybe they found a good program for him). I'm not looking for him to dominate the half he'll play on Thursday - rather I want to see him moving well and also pulling up well the next day. If he does enough to satisfy those requirements, I think I'll be locking him in. Just has so much potential

Think I've mentioned it before just not sure which thread, keeping in mind it's extremely risky but for $504.500 I reckon with a lot of injury luck Wells & Menzel can out score a premo and rookie

Yeah probably could but I wouldn't be taking both, seems little risky for me, I'm taking Wells and Lids at F1 and F4 instead of taking two 400-450k players like I've seen a lot of people doing

I think it's only really worth the risk if you are going only 2 premos up forward and dont trust guys around that 450K to fill F3, which i just cant sell myself on Merrett, Hall or Greene

Yep, I'm in the same boat as you there, I am no way convinced on any of the 450k guys.

Same. I've had all 3 of them in my side invididually at one time or another. Every time I put deledio at F1 it looks a lot better but then I miss a forward rookie that I'm keen on in exchange for a mid rookie that I have no confidence in. As it stands I have Wells at F3 but it means I bat deep in the mids with Mills at M7. Quietly confident in my 3-1-4 defensive structure too.

I think the possible point loss from missing a Greene or a Hall can be made up in other lines as long as the money is spent smartly.

I think Wingard could be a good pick this year especially with Ports easy draw early on.

The Chad has been in and out of my side, but is out for good now. Kenny said the other day that Chad is way too good inside 50 to spend too much time away from goals. I'd guess he's not planned to be a part of the mid rotations, especially with Polec returning and the emergence of Sam Gray, and Monfries leaving a big hole in the small forwards role. I can see a return to 2014 form for Wingard this year.
