Barlow as a forward at 505k worth a look... last 2 years averaged 110+, dropped to 505k, surely if he makes it back up to 103-105 that's an awesome forward pick
so I made a spreadsheet with a basic price predicting formula at the top...
if I were to make a team now, I think that's roughly what I'd be doing... obviously have to preseason form and no rookies apart from Petracca
Sam Gray was one I found when looking through averages late in the season... Last 6 weeks of this year he played an entirely different role and averaged 110ish in those 6 weeks. Obviously would be stupid just to pick him off that but assuming he continues that role in preseason I'm happy to pay 480k for him
Cool spreadsheet, i really need to learn how to use those correctly. I think Leuy maybe good value in the Ruck, i'm also looking at Daisy
2016 Rucks will be hard for me to pick because I like so many of them I'll have Sinclair up forward no doubt
For 1st Ruck
Goldy- Obvious, but expensive, REALLY EXPENSIVE, but probably worth it? [695k]
Mumford- Will it be the year he gets around the injuries? [570k]
Martin- Does he gain from Leuey leaving? [598k]
For 2nd Ruck
Nicholls- Ablett back and no more Smith to compete with, bound to improve [440k]
Smith- Now at Geelong with Selwood and Dangerfield with no Nicholls [425k]
Leuey- Now returns to number 1 ruck, supercheap [310k]
Kreuzer- I believe this guy can be a champ ruck of the comp with his around the grounds stuff aswell [480k]
OR Do I start Sinclair #2 ruck then move him forward when upgrading rookies to bring in Goldy at some point

ok, what team looks better (Team the on top has Leuenberger and B.Smith) (Team on the bottom has Deledio and A.Otten)... Means when my forward rookies go up I upgrade them straight to a ruck, like Goldy and just move Sinclair forward (and I start with some gun forwards that probably won't drop much... I can pick up premium defenders and forwards when they're on a dip, Deledio is probably worth starting with because he may never have that dip)
if you haven't guessed yet, I like the bottom team slightly more as there's 2 less mid-pricers
I don't like starting with mid priced rucks that can't go forward, in any other line a a midpricer that doesn't work out you can upgrade around, put them on the bench and hope they come good later... Rucks are a little different, unless you can move them forward you're pretty stuck where you are, have to use extra trades to get around it

This is a real bummer for me as i had him penciled in as this years danger. Better to find out now i guess
I don't like going with 200-300k players unless I see a massive bargain, but I've had thoughts about
Aish (275k in defence, dpp mid),
Wells (240k up forward, dpp mid)
your thoughts on these guys? If I pick Aish it'd be for him to average minimum of 85-95 because you can get a 65-75 average off decent rookies half the price

I'm not keen on Aish I think the Pies may struggle this year, but I'm seriously looking at Adcock and I think will love playing at the kennel. Wells I think could be OK just needs to get some games into him to see if he will stay together.
