    Forwards 2016

I just can't get excited about Dahl. Top 6 maybe but with the tougher draw I can't see him going as big this year. I read today that Buddy is fit, tearing it up, and plans on getting more midfield time. I promised myself I wouldn't get sucked in again this year...

    Defenders 2016

http://m.geelongcats.com.au/news/2016-01-28/upbeat-cowan-ready-for-challenge Here's an article from a couple of weeks ago. Locked at D6 for me. NAB form pending.

    Rucks 2016

Agreed about Goldy. He's probably not going to average 128 and finish the year at 700k. But even if he averages 120 and hovers around 650, it's still at least 2 trades to get him. The problem then is hoping to get a solid midpricer at R2 because spending 1.2mil on your starting rucks hurts...

    Defenders 2016

Re: Shaw, rule #1 when you have an "outlier" who is clearly the top averaging player on that line, you have to pick them. Gaz. Goldy. Shaw. Lock. Atm i have Shaw, Simpson, Bartel, Smith and Aish with rookies. Hoping beyond hope that Aish pushes up to a 90ppg and becomes a value keeper at D6...

    Trades & SC 2016

This is where it can start to get dangerous. It would be so easy to load up on 3 premo forwards and then have Wells, Simpkin and a rookie/Kerridge on field. Its so tempting. Its also asking for trouble. Going with that structure can potentially give you the cash to go with 5 plus Libba in the...

    Libba, O'Meara and Crouch

I've toyed with a couple of mid heavy lineups... 3 x 600k mids, couple of 500ks, Libba, Crouch and rookies. I love the midfield but hate the rest of the park. If I had to guess I would say people are doing it because they struggle to find any premos in the defence line to pick with any...

    Rich - Risk vs Reward

Everyone has different takes on the same situation. I decided that with Redden taking Rosas place, there wasn't enough room for Yeo in the mid rotations to pick up a huge amount of points. At least of one those 80-85avg guys will increase their scores by 10-15ppg this year. Just wish I knew...

    Dollhouse?

Doggies have a much MUCH tougher run this year. I'd love to be proven wrong but I'm not sure they can back it up, and same goes for the kids that broke out last year (Macrae, Wallis, Bont, Dal). Those guys all feel like they're full priced to me.

    Rich - Risk vs Reward

I have him above Yeo. But not about Brodie Smith. This may change. Brisbane just seem to have way too many mids in their rotations, I'm not sure there's enough points to go around for Rich to increase his average enough to justify the pick.

    Libba, O'Meara and Crouch

Haven't listened to the podcast yet so haven't heard all the pros and cons and may be repeating things but... Libba should be in 100% of sides. Its a no brainer. Omeara... Rocket has said he's no certainty for round 1 and apparently he still hasn't resumed full training with the main group...

    Fantasy and RDT

I'm in both. Haven't played fantasy for a few years and first time on RDT. Why are some of the rookie prices so much higher than SC? Mitch Brown at over 200k?

    Trades & SC 2016

It was mentioned a while ago in this thread that Geelong should have a new 90-100ppg avg defender coming through soon. I would back Thurlow to be that guy. Probably not this year though.

    Trades & SC 2016

Selwood was struggling, Caddy was in and out of the side through injury, Duncan was out, Blitz was rucking... the midfield was pretty much Selwood at half strength, Guthrie and Motlop for the last 8 weeks or so. I love the Guff and reckon he could be a beast if he was a pure mid. But as...

    Bomber cash cows.

I think Brown and Kommer are musts for the last bench spots back and forward if they play round 1. I'm waiting for the NAB matches to see where they play Simpkin but at 220k he could be a handy f5. I'm very wary of going too heavy on these guys though, as tempting as it is.

    Auto log out

Ever since the site update last year, I get logged out every time I close my browser. Have tried most of the things mentioned so far but to no avail. It remembers my info so its just a couple of extra taps of the screen to log in. Its only a few seconds extra and is a bit annoying but if thats...

    Trades & SC 2016

Legitimate question... Why is everyone going ape droppings for Yeo? He's been in nearly every side Ive seen so far but I dont get it. He had a few good weeks in a row last year but so did everyone. His "added midfield time" that everyone's spruiking will be taken by Redden. At his price, I...

When are the Podcasts coming back?

I often find myself listening to SCC Podcasts and thinking to myself "wtf??" at some of the listeners questions. Then I realised that some of my questions probably get the same sort of response from some people. Theres good discussion about it and no one gets overly personal. Everyones here to...
