Round 12 Trades

Lets kick off round 12 trades by addressing the Huge Elephant in the room.

Will tempt a lot of coaches and kudos if you held onto him.

I won't completely disregard him, but not for me at this stage. His injury history has to be a major concern.

Hewett to Jansen/Trengove and Hall to Wingard is what I am looking at.

Would have liked to get him last week but had other stuff to deal with. Never really liked him but the more I watch him, the more he is growing on me.

Very tempted by Rocky even though I already have 8 premium midfielders. I find it very hard to resist a player who could average closer to 130 than 110.

Completely ridiculous given my backline is still far from complete, but I'm still thinking I might get him in ... Libba or Parker onto the bench as cover.

I have one spot in my mids left for Pendles but I've had Rocky every year for as long as I can remember. Its really tempting.

Recent hamstring issue aside, most of Rocky's issues have been collision injuries. Obviously part of the way he plays, but perhaps more freak occurrences than unreliability issues. Form was more of a concern for me. If he scores well this week I will probably look at him seriously as he does have a fairly friendly draw, particularly during SC finals time. Happy to pay a bit extra for him with some confidence behind it rather than jump now.

Jelwood also cheap but has also only played 1 good quarter in 4 weeks of footy, albeit an exceptionally good quarter. Also happy to wait a week or two to decide and pay a bit extra.

Both are round 15 byes as well and I'm really keen to add my last couple of midfield premiums with round 13 bye players (after their bye).

Just Hartley to Collins for me this week. Leaves me with around 300k going into the bye rounds. Sitting 503 overall. Will most likely get more kid next week leaving me with a double upgrade for the second round of the bye.

Im looking at Tippa - Logan Austin to bring in goldy for Stef, it will leave me with (19,20,16) in the byes. Just hopeful ill be able to get 18 for the third bye

I went Ben Ken to Wingard last week.

I had wingard from the byes onwards last season and whilst he didn't end up averaging great I saw enough then to bring him in last week.

I didn't catch the PtA game this weekend but I remember last year thinking he was always a bit too reliant on golds to keep his score up. Hopefully this last few weeks is a step in that direction, and with or without goals he can consistently ton up

Lonergan and Brown need to go. So far have done Lonergan -> Collins. I do want to offload (downgrade) Brown as well but there doesn't look to be many options. Hopefully Lonergan might miss this week and I can hold for now and trade out Brown.

Next week the plan will be Smith -> Trengove and Kerridge/Lyons -> Stewart (assuming both still look good options) then a triple upgrade to round 13 bye players the following week to essentially complete my team.

Which means Houli wil still be in my team rnd12. Oh well, will try a little bit of emerg loophole action in the backline with him to ease my pain a little.
