So Zorko... After tonights game I'm thinking he could average 115. Convince me not to pick him.
With players like zorko, dusty and aaron hall. They all present the problem that if they go sub 110 avg they are a bad pick. They all offer value to there respective teams up forward more than the other onballers in their sides, so coaches are more likely to play them in a mid rotating forward role. In saying that, i love all three of those players and they have the ability to go 110+ as a pure mid, whether they play that role is a different story.

I really think Zorko could be a real winner from the addition of Beams. The tag you would think will go straight to Beams before Zorko, so he could be a real smokey/POD for our midfield.

Zorko isnt the worry its his team mates. They lost by more than 60 points in 9 games last year. I think he is number 3 behind Beams and Rocky as well

Are Dangerfield and Pendles wives due on the same day? Will they both be there present on the day of the birth? Will they play or miss?

With Bont not coming in fully fit I've taken him out of my side and replaced him with Neale, never had him before but first time for everything, I think Fyfe coming back might help Neale's disposal efficiency, takes some pressure off and gives him a reliable target/partner, Sandi coming back might help too

I think that's all guessing.

No offence meant!

call me crazy and i know this is a no no but i have 530k left for one player and want it in the mids for structure reason
am i crazy picking Adams at M6 in the mids for the time being and swaping him back later when doing upgrades
main reason is i already have Doch, shaw and laird in backs and rookies seem better in backs then mids
cant see anyone else in that price range i like in the mids and im trying to keep away from the likes of swallow, jom etc

Seems a top plan to me assuming these defender rookies aren't a mirage.

It's going to be tough to know whether or not they're a mirage since a few of them will probably be named on extended benches when RD1 lockout happens...EVW, Hibberd, Otten, and to a lesser extent Luke Ryan and Zach Guthrie (and for the middle probably Wigg as well).

I like him as a player but is there enough points to go around the midfield? Ward, Coniglio, Shiel, Scully, natural improvement from Hopper and Kelly... They can't all average 105.

He may get to 110 but you can throw a blanket over 10 others who will safely average that. He would be a great POD but I'm not sure there would be much advantage overall.

Ward, Scully, Kelly average 23-25 disposals a game where shiel and coniglio averaged around 28. i dunno if that means they share it around more or coniglio and shiel spent more time on the ball. I dunno why but i seemed to have just lost faith on rocklift and beams averaging 110, trying to find the next best thing.

The Lions have impressed in the preseason. They're still bottom 4, but their gamestyle will make them more competitive.

I wouldn't worry about Zorko, he's alongside Beams in a fully fit Lions midfield. I can see Rocky playing forward because his disposal and decision-making is poor. His attitude is a real concern too. I can't see Fagan playing him in a fully fit midfield. Saw a perfect example of all of these points last week. Lions create a turnover in defensive 50m and make a fast break down the wing. Rocky leads up and collects the ball just forward of centre wing. There's a free Lion forward 80m from goal and another heading inside 50m. Rocky marks and doesn't even look forward. Looks nowhere initially then looks to the centre where he sees nothing. Eventually spots the free Lion 80m out and kicks a high floater on his head. 3 opponents have the time to close and smash him, turn the ball over take it forward and kick a goal. It was lazy. It was arrogant. It was poor execution. It was not "team play". He won't be coming anywhere near my SC team and I suspect Fagan won't be keen to have him in the midfield either.

Zorko and Beams are the midfield leaders, and seriously considering both for my SC team. The others rotating through would be Rich, Taylor, Rocky, McLuggage, Mathieson, Keays, Bastinac, Bell and Bewick depending on fitness and form. There's also other kids like Barrett, Clayton, Jansen and Berry who might get a look in if form warrants.

I like it. I'm looking for something like that myself. Every single team looks the exact same. I read the 30 most popular players article on the Herald Sun and I have 24 of them. Time to look outside the box
