Brilliant racing over the top there, we'll see who's up for the fight come Alp d'Huez!

All the flat sections between the climbs have killed this race. If only they designed the key stages better that as soon as you descend you start another climb. Having 30-50km valleys between climbs is just daft.

Surprised Rodriguez and Bardet are waiting for the final climb to try and win the KOM jersey. Both needed to get into the early break and get 25 points on that climb.

Yeah, the guy that designed France had rocks in his head! Pretty sure it wasn't the same guy as did the Swedish Fjords ...

lol it's not because France wasn't designed properly. It's because the race organisers haven't designed the stages properly. You can easily find climbs in the Alps and Pyrenees where you could have gone up and down all day without much respite in between.

So do I lose Nibali for the Manx Missile, or Greipel? Think the Cav, such a lead out train ...

Cav's lead out rider has withdrawn Prospector. But so has Greipel's.
Normally I'd suggest Cav. This year Greipel has had his measure, mostly.
It's a toss-up.

Fell asleep half-way thru the stage last night. Looking forward to the SBS replay this afternoon.

Must of been a lot of leagues with last night as their Bonus stage, we have slipped to 13th.
If we do it next year, maybe we should do something similar.

Was listening to a podcast in which they complained about the lack of attacking riding by the main GC contenders. Said that Sky were also surprised. Also, that the way Quintana and Valverde were talking they it seemed that they had conceded that Froome was unbeatable and simply aiming to finish on the podium.
On the podcast they said that they had no real explanation. They did say that maybe it was due to bonus money in the riders' contracts. A rider might get 250,000 Euro for a podium finish. If they try for first and end up out of a top-3 place they lose that money.

Yeah, and then you know how riders defended 8th place, 9th place etc by putting their teams on the front to chase breaks? 8th place in the Tour de France is worth more than 2 stage wins or something points wise for the team.

Selecting a bonus stage is always a chook raffle. I've often gone with a late, mountain stage, but sometimes it can be hard to get your squad right given that your trying to select top GC candidates, but some stages might end up suiting break-aways more, depending on the overall GC results.

I've got Sagan, Griepel, Cavendish, Demare, Kristoff and Degenkolb in my squad for this last stage.

I think I only have one transfer left which leaves me only $500k short of Coquard. Might have to go for Boasson-Hagen instead.

Centrebet has Greipel over Cav, 2.25 to 3.25, so I'll go Greipel!
