Not sold on Hewett's JS with Macca to come back inI'm concerned about the bombers with JS just won't score enough, Mids might look weak but some of Kerridge, Menadue, Kennedy, & Wells can play there with Mills, Davis, Hewitt, & hopefull with Mathieson & Gresham.

I have him in my team but need to see what the lineup for R1 one is. I am thinking it will be a lot like the team on the weekend with Papley and Newman missing out as they both need to be elevated. You might be right, would be mistake from what i've seen from the lad.
Totally agree re fwds.G'day everyone. Good to be back.
Just interested to know what people's early thoughts are on their team structure. Obviously depends a lot on rookies and how they perform in the NAB. No doubt this will constantly change.
Using the below thresholds
0-250k = rookies
250k-450k = midpricers
450k+ = premo's
At this stage I'm looking at the below structure:
DEF: 3-1-4
MID: 5-1-5
RUC: 1-1-1
FWD: 3-0-5
Thoughts:
DEF - I don't think the depth of rookies in defence is strong enough to take the gamble of starting 5 rookies.
MID - This could change as generally the mids is where the depth of rookies shine but for now thinking 5 premos + Libba will set a good foundation.
RUC - Really not sure about Lobbe (who is my current midpricer) or whether to just set and forget after last year's Bellchambers debacle.
FWD - Early thoughts are the depth of rookies up fwd is quite good this year hence prepared to start more rookies there than in previous years.
I've toyed with using a few as mid rookies due to the lack of them we have there.I'm thinking of trying to head a similar way and go heavier on forward rookies than I already am. Not sure I can bring myself to go 2-0-6 though. I can't remember a year where we had so many viable forward rookies.
There are always plenty, and any is too many, imo!
I've settled on 2-1-5 up forward. Wells at F3 is tempting but leaves me pretty exposed. My setup as it stands is :
3-2-3
4-2-4
2-0-1
2-1-5
It gives me as many as 15 keepers if all goes well. I don't expect that to happen, would be nice if it did though!
Bet my 2 in the mids are different to yours. But like the concept good luck mate.I've settled on 2-1-5 up forward. Wells at F3 is tempting but leaves me pretty exposed. My setup as it stands is :

I'm not convinced that being different is necessarily a winning strategy.Main reason I'm running this structure is I feel that when I change it my team starts looking the same as everyone else's.
it can help. The main thing that sets you aside is how and when you trade.I'm not convinced that being different is necessarily a winning strategy.
Does that mean you'll be having a bunch of 200k Rookies?
What are your thoughts on Menzel @TomCatI do at the moment.
But I'm really unsettled on my side so things will probably change. For me it all depends on what rookies end up being available.
