The article said he was "out indefinitely". Its an old man calf. I can't see him playing again this year.

Will hurt for anyone who has both McVeigh and Boyd.

This is the reason I'm trying to avoid any injury prone or older players with the last few trades. Buddy and Roo look like great side swaps for Deledio (can't get to Zerrett in 1 trade) but Lynch looks like a safer pick even if he has a lower ceiling. Gunston is surely in line for a rest over the next 2-3 weeks.

Is it worth sacrificing 10ppg avg on the way home to get that premium on the park every week rather than having to bring your bench cover on every other week?

I want Zerrett because he doesn't look like slowing down, which I thought he would. I won't do it in 2 trades though. Lynch highly likely to come in for me.

Use a trade free up some cash, get Merret in for Lids & look @ trading Libba to Dahl next week dependent on his form?

If it was me, I'd look at how many trades I had and whether 35 is going to make a difference LT, if you have support on the bench.

If an elite goes down and we are all out of trades, the difference won't be 35, it could possibly be 135.

Trades are gold and those that have them will have hair left in finals

The boys spent a little bit of time on this on the podcast. You may gain 80 points over the next 5 weeks. What happens if (for example) Goldy is rested for a week or two and you have no cover and no trades? You lose 200 points in 2 weeks. That's a much bigger deal than picking up 80 points.

Looking at overall... How many spots would 80 extra points out you up? 200 or 300 maybe? Would you prefer that extra ranking over going into league finals with our a donut?

The only way I would be doing it is if you have must win league games this week. If you're safe in the top 4 Then don't worry about it. If you're 5th (or 9th) and can push up then have a crack. Keep in mind that a LOT of teams will be burning 2 trades this week because they have no ruck cover or are still holding Hall and Deledio so they will just trade to avoid having to use rookies. In 2 weeks they will have 0 trades and on field donuts while all us SCC folk are sitting back like haha

So I will sit tight tonight and see what McCarthy can serve up, if he gets 80+ , Lids will be safe for this week and I will also save a trade which is even better.

I've seen him mentioned as this year's Aaron Hall. Its entirely possible. Given the carnage so far I'm playing it safe with all my trades from now.
