:Like it, don't see why Menegola doesn't keep his spot, look a real accumulator which Geelong don't really have,

If you think Menegola keeps his spot who do you think makes room for Caddy? I think Menegola deserves to stay in the team but I'm not sure who gets dropped when Caddy comes back.

Either Cowan, McCarthy or Ruggles

I hope you're wrong about McCarthy as I love the kid.
McCarthy plays a completely different role. I can see Cowan out for Caddy... But who goes out for Henderson?

Naismith will now be #1 ruck at swans with Sunclair out.
Holding Hall as i think Tracca and Davis can cover him for a couple more weeks, as for Lids i just don't know who to bring in.

Lonergan rested?
I think he plays this week and maybe rests against Essendon. Statement game really. Dogs have been smashed by injury but I think we will want to make sure we get the win with our best 22 available.

Do we need to start a separate Geelong thread??

Gees Naismith looks tempting now even after the price rise.

Naismith was the #1 ruck anyway. Sinclair has been average anyway.

In a way it might hurt Naismith. They'll likely bring in Nankervis to play alongside Naismith. The one who's considered the best forward will be the 2nd ruck and the other will be #1 ruck. It's possible they might consider Naismith the better forward option.

If Naismith has finally turned the corner, look out. And I'm not just talking Supercoach either. Kid could be Sandilands MkII.

Everyone remember how Sandy started his career? A LOT of similarities there.

5 Trades left - 129k. Cemented in top four and any other options appreciated.
Def: Shaw, Mcveigh, Bartel, Laird, Simpson, Rich (S Collins, O McDonald)
Mid: Danger, Pendles, Ward, Hanners, Rockliff, Gray, Priddis, S Thompson (J Smith, Trengove, T Phillips)
Ruck: Gawn, S Martin (Grimley)
Fwd: D Martin, Wells, Montagna, Zorko, Petracca, Tippa (DELEDIO, HALL)
Option 1: Hold, do nothing this week.
Option 2: Deledio for someone or S Thompson for someone.
Option 3: Swing Rich into midfield and grab another good defender.
Option 4: Make a downgrade
Thanks.

Id move lids i think. Pretty nice team. Maybe consider hall to dahl next week as a dpp swing man too.

I just want him to make through the rest of the season uninjured

Hi all,

5 trades left - 3 games clear on top, going for league win.
Have Lids, Hall and Libba.
Do I hold on trading this week & re-assess next week?
or
Use a trade free up some cash, get Merret in for Lids & look @ trading Libba to Dahl next week dependent on his form?

OK so Lids out indefinitely, Hall listed as 1-2, McVeigh looks ginger and 50/50 at best. 4 trades, $6k left. Fighting for top 4 berth in 2 leagues, lose and i could miss finals!!!

So question: Deledio out indefinitely, do I pull the pin and "sideways" trade to: Roo or Lyons. Hold McVeigh n Hall as they "should" return next week (I hope). Hit finals with 3 trades, $60k in bank, hope to win and finish top 4? Makes sense as Lids may not play again this season and Lyon is going up in price, make 60k on that trade.

OR

Do nothing use Silvagni and Petracca as fwd bench cover, Collins as def cover and cross my finger and toes to win.

Im playing 2nd on the ladder who is confirmed top 4 so I don't think he will trade this week.
