Thinking of bringing in one of McVeigh, Rance or Bartel for Hartley, who's the best bet?

I rate bartel and mcveigh equally above rance for avg for rest of year but i expect them to miss games being managed and rance to play all of them. Raises the old question of Avg vs total. I would go rance as im a total boy.

If you traded him in off the big game scores and you expected one every week then your either a geelong supporter or a lunatic. Guys with very high ceilings in good (not great) teams must come in on an average points over year school of thought, not on an "he's good for 120 every week" basis. My advice is hold on and ride the highs and lows and dont complain about the 50's or tell everyone your a savant when the 160's pop up. Dont forget they have been beaten the last two weeks and Motlop will zcore better in the wins.

Have thought about him but the last 2 weeks have reminded me why you dont get him.

He might average top 10 fwds for the year though with those big scores

Yes. I started about 10K, only drifted to about 20K and last two weeks have brought me in to just under 8K. 15 trades left after my trades this week. I still need 12 trades for upgrades so only three injury trades to get me through the whole rest of the year ... you may well lap me when I run out of trades six weeks from the end of the season.

No Geelong supporter I know would expect Motlop to score 120 every week. Wouldn't even dare to dream it.

I thinking of getting on Wingard this week, looks as though he may be back on track after a good last couple of weeks. Any thoughts on him?

I've been holding off waiting for him to show his true colours, now might be the time. Fairly friendly fixture over the next month. Fairly friendly fixture for finals too. It's now or never with a BE of 7.... I'm seriously considering jumping on him this week.

He does have a proven scoring history and it's starting to look a lot like last year where he started slowly and then went pretty well in the 2nd half of the year (he averaged over 100 from round 7 on last year) - pretty much mirroring Port's form. So if you think Port are going to go better in the 2nd half of the year you'd have to back him to score well.

The former means I have to play Tracca, the latter means I can loophole Kerridge and Tracca. Thoughts?
