So I am assuming you are keeping the faith in Barlow and as such why stick him on the bench if you think he will improve. For me it has to be the rookie in Papley. Up against the Giants also.

Thats true, but then why keep a guy that is averaging 60.50?

You always hear thats too much money to have sitting on the pine, but if there ever was a case to do it, this would be it.

Shame Rioli plays early otherwise you could use him as loophole.

Im holding on to Rich this week so i have that loop hole if required. I will be starting Barlow but not sure on Papley or Kerridge

Average after 2 games isn't much to go off, I'd still refer to their history and NAB form and by that logic bench Papley

Looking at N Riewoldt's role so far this season I think he looks pretty likely to go 95+ this season, it's hard to go him over your Martins, Zorkos, Montagna ect, keep in mind though Saints play their next 9 games at Etihad where he averages 110 over his career (but only 93.5 last season)

Martin, Dahlhaus, Merrett, Deledio (when he's back), Zorko, Hall, Montagna and even Wells should all go higher than 100 in my opinion, most of them will push 105+

Personally I'd rather them than Nick... The top end forwards look pretty good this year

I think if you've nailed your early picks (say Merrett Hall & Dahl or the like in your starting line up) then Nick is an option at the cheaper price, he's not really an option for me as I've got fires to put out up there but with Cash generation looking a bit iffy at this stage maybe we are going to have to opt for a couple not quite premiums this season.

Looking at the top FWDs currently you'd think Kennedy, Betts & Waite are good chances to drop away so do just not look at any one outside Merrett, Hall, Dahlhaus, Zorko, Montagna Martin, Lids & Wells...?

he might be able to average 95+ but will he play 20+ games this year? Thats my concern

Looking at his stats, Zorko averaged 100 last season but 120+ in the last 5 when Beams was out. Makes me a bit nervous and thinking he might only go 95 from here....

Wingard is one I think I'll target when he bottoms out at ~$450k in a couple of weeks.

Anyone else people are targeting? To be honest, I'm not seeing too many forward premiums I'm confident in...

I can't say they'll be higher than him, but there's a bunch of blokes who I think can get close to 100 and be around the same as Zorko:
Kennedy, Betts, Lynch, Higgins, Harvey, Gunston, Rioli, Billings, Wells, Wingard, Robinson

There's also a few capable, although hard to say at this stage:
Greene, Breust, Stringer, Motlop, Smith, Tippett, Darling.

If Beams was still 6-8 weeks away that might be enough for Zorko. But if he's back next week I can't see Zorko maintaining 100+ scoring for the rest of the season.

Yep no good, same as betts,garlett, robinson, sauce, garlett, bell. Not in the same class as the champs we bought in Thomas, liam jones, warnock, tutt shall i go on? Waite in a team with other tall competent targets, with better delivery fwd of centre, no injuries and not whacking blokes. Shame on carlton as a club listening to malthouse in respect to him and his family ties to it. These blokes mick let go are proving their worth elsewhere and just proving my opinion of his ability. I digress - waite good but cant see him holding up form like this for 22 straight, but hope he does.

Westhoff and Wingard will be BIGTIME bargains under 400k and are capable of 100+ averages for sections of a season, especially Westhoff while Lobbe is injured can quite easily post decent average while he's pinch hitting in the ruck, is anybody looking to get any of them... Or is it just too risky and should we be sticking to Barlow, Merrett, Deledio, Montagna, Dusty, Wells, Hall types that should average 105+

Of the 6 games this year Westhoff has had 2 stinkers (Both in BIG losses), but in those games has also recorded 0 hitouts, in his other 4 games he's scored 88, 99, 85, 109... Ofcourse I wouldn't consider him for around 500k, but 407k this week with BE of 123 is tempting for next week(Finished last year off very strong with an average of 104.5 from round 8 until round 23

Wingard currently priced at 434k with a breakeven of 158 (but will have high BE next week too) so should get down to approx 400k




My only issue with locking these trades in at the moment is Merrett will be approx 480k next week if he scores 100, and Montagna will be approx 500k in 2 weeks time... Which really makes it hard to pick up Hoff and Wingard for 400k, lots more risk and it will be only 80-100k more for the really high end blokes

+Add in getting Petracca next week, only 2 trades per week... Probably means Merrett+Petracca are the highest priority I guess if it's a 1 up 1 down week

Really like Wingard. Must-have at his price when he gets back if he starts putting up decent scores. He's a couple of weeks away from bottoming out though.

Hadn't considered Westhoff, but at his price he looks like a solid option. Could wait a week or two and he'll still be well priced.

Both should be 95+ from here on in.

Like Westhoff playing a lot of ruck time, Walters from Freo is one to keep an eye on too, has played geniune mid minutes the last 2 weeks and look good all though butchered the ball this last week.
