If I'm reading it correctly it looks like EVW had 86% TOG, Hibberd 54% and some bloke called Declan Mountford mopped up 8 possessions (5 contested) and 7 tackles in 33% TOG.

Mountford was drafted with a late pick in 2015 after testing really well at the combine top 10 in ~5 different tests including 4th in the beep.

Had an excellent year for Werribee last season finishing 2nd in their b+f.

Hard working farm boy from FNWA who perhaps lacks a little polish at this stage however it wouldnt surprise if he pushes for and R1 spot maybe in a run with type roll. Is in the mix along with a number of other NM youngsters.
thx, cobber!

lot of rookies putting their hand up for selection out of tonight's game! Wigg, Otten, Butler(Richmond) and Hampton just about locked himself in every serious SC side! only their first JLT but nice to see Adelaide rookies getting the pill!

Hope Zac Fisher gets a game for the Blues today. Only a little bugger but he can play. Wins his own ball and uses it quite well.
As under-18: WA MVP and All-Australian. 107SC in Under-18 Championships and 74SC in 10 games for Perth.

Nice story is Begley at the dons, kid can play.
Indeed he can! definitely one to keep an eye on, hopefully he can get decent game time in the last JLT with Fantasia playing,
I reckon they have different roles though. Begley is pretty big for an 18 year old probably a medium forward, competing with Laverde and Stewart for the spot it looks like.

If we run short of forward rookies any going to be tempted by Cam McCarthy now he's over at Freo? 203K. Did post a couple of tons in his first season.

Not a huge fan of key forwards. Will definately make 150k though. Could be used as a stepping stone. Obviously it depends on team structures. Im probably looking to have 4 forward rookies in total.

I realise that the Cats don't seem to hesitate in giving low numbers to young players but is there any significance in the fact that they gave Parfitt Jimmy Bartel's no.3?
Maybe a sign of how highly they regard him?
Just asking.

I think it's a positive sign for him and I think he's a sneaky chance of playing rd 1. Cats players have praised his preseason performance and said he's a chance to play rd 1 and he's played both JLT matches and is in the squad for this Sunday's game.

With Gregson out and McCathy unlikely to play R1 he's like he'll get a gig but small forward with very iffy JS having said that is in my team at the moment.

McCarthy has been named in the squad for this Sunday so he might be ok for rd 1. Even if Parfitt does play rd 1 I think his JS is iffy but as a Cats supporter I can't help but be excited by him. He's impressed me that's for sure. :)
