Forwards are pretty sparse too with no Parfitt, Houston, Begley or Miles.

Midprice madness may be forced upon us. I still want to go guns and rookies, though. If I use the logic that I have to start all the decent rookies available on ground so that I can have maximum cash generation and point scoring with the guns and rooks approach I keep coming back to Witts, which I don't want to do at R2...but there may be nowhere else to save the money if you want to go purely guns and rooks.

Oh, I for sure agree with that. But, I think it's smart to play around with your team without these rookies available because it could happen and I want to be comfortable with my structure if it does. I want to avoid scrambling around on the day of lockout (especially since it's at like 4:20am for me and I want to do some sleeping lol) and ending up with a structure I never wanted.

North playing Sunday also makes it difficult. Reckon EVW and Hibbo are perfect extended bench players.

A lot of people might get trapped by selecting the Thursday night rookies.

I got trapped last year. Picked the Thursday rookies on the Wednesday when they got named. Then couldn't get on before the Thursday game started to get them out when others were named and got stuck with a couple of hopeless Tiger rookies.

They won't have to. There is a Richmond Village just NE of Hobart. The Tiges could base themselves there.

Anyone like Horlin-Smith? Rookie price at $234k. Great JLT numbers and seems to have taken over the Caddy role. With a severe shortage of genuine rookies he could be worth a look.
