    Rd 9 Upgrade Targets

Who are your three rucks? Blicavs is the only R/M so to move him into your rucks for cover you would have to trade out one of your current rucks, or if one is a R/F, you could move him into your forward line, trade out a forward and then move Blicavs into the ruck.

    Rd 8 captain

Small thing but you only gained 2 points. Danger 130 + Fyfe 128 + Captain (Danger) 130 = 388 Danger 130 + Fyfe 128 + Captain (Fyfe) 128 = 386 But the point is that you gained on the competition! Well done. A win is a win.

    Rd 8 captain

I took Pendles 119 in round 4 and Fyfe came out and scored 145. That hurt but it was still only 26 points. 130 is a better score and less risk. Personally going Fyfe into Gray this week.

    Rd 8 captain

I think you have to take 130. Worse case scenario Fyfe has a blinder and scores 150 and you've lost 20 points. Best case scenario Fyfe gets injured in the first quarter and only scores 50 (yes he is still that good) and you've gained 80 (or more) on the competition.

    Round 8 Trades

Hogan for T Mitchell. Cripps still has more $ to make. Rockliff won't go up too much in price even if he scores 100 so you can afford to wait another week and see how he scores. Parker is really tempting but not at the expense of Cripps. NicNat for Mumford doesn't necessarily result in heaps...

    Round 7 Discussion

I've never understood the position of dogs in Australian vernacular. If a dog is 'man's best friend' then why is 'a dog act' something considered so low? That does not match up. Nor is 'a dog act' in line with the actual behaviour of dogs. All they want to do is play, eat, sleep and go for...

Just when you thought things couldn't get worse...

Things can always be worse. You could have played for Smythesdale yesterday... Full Time: Gordon 70.21 (441) d Smythesdale 1.1 (7) Apparently Carlton are interviewing the coach :p

Who should coach Carlton next year?

I'll do it. I have zero coaching experience. Zero experience working with elite athletes. No real game plan. But I am confident that I could match MM's win/loss record for 2015.

    hodge, trade or hold?

The byes are a lot later this year - rounds 11, 12 & 13. Last year they were rounds 8, 9 & 10. I seriously doubt you will still have 20 trades by round 11. At round 11 last year I had 13 trades left. I haven't mapped out how I expect to trade over the byes as I imagine a lot of rookies will have...

    Hibberd

Hibberd is 25yo, playing in a team that should finish in the top 8 (or there about) and has averaged 96 & 91 over the last two seasons. If you have already used 6 trades then you would just be burning a trade. If you have only used 4 trades then you could consider it but I would hold. I really...

    Goodes to L Picken

There is always a risk trading in a player without any previous premium scoring history. I traded in T Hunt after he scored 117, 64 & 104. He has scored 47 & 49 since and I am now looking to trade him out. That was a wasted trade. Picken turns 29yo this year, this is his 7th season in the AFL...
