Yeah, the riders who are the best overall, aiming to win the whole sheabang: Froome, Contador, Nibali, and Quintana especially.

8 more trades available. All GC guys for me.

    Tour de France

    Well done, doddy. Didn't do too bad myself with 1st, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 10th and 16th. P.S. I am starting to agree.

    Tour de France

A much better way to put it Prospector.

    Tour de France

Yeah, I remember. I think it was agricultural workers protesting. I think.

    Tour de France

Yep. Stages 10,11,12 all mtn top finishes. Stage 13, 14, 16 classic break-away or all-rounder stages but if GC close then GC favourites. Then Stages 17, 18, 19, 20 all mtn stages. Stage 15 is the only sprinters stage until the Champs in the last stage.

    Tour de France

Well done, doddy. I'd hold him for the moment as he's a chance in the sprint stage tonight.

Bad luck, Grater. Dumoulin withdrawn after crash. Also Gerrans. Cancellara a good chance of withdrawing also.

    Tour de France

Good idea about the teams, Grater. I'll have to do a bit of research about the cheaper teams as I'm not that familiar with them.

    Tour de France

I've also re-checked the rules to see how your chosen team, ie Etixx, gets points. It is pretty pitiful compared to the rider points. They only give points for the first 5 places: 10, 8, 6, 4, 2. So even if your chosen team has all of the first 5 finishers, totally unlikely, you will still only...

    Tour de France

I thought I had it all planned: trade Cavendish -> Valverde for the next 2 stages and then Valverde -> Cavendish for the sprint stages after. trade-in Degenkolb. Managed the first part OK. Unfortunately by changing my team to Etixx I stuffed up my Degenkolb trade. Not enough cash. So I...

    Mitch Wallis

I wouldn't take Wallis. I have had him for a while and had a vested interest in watching his games. He isn't getting enough on-ball time to be worth taking. He attends centre bounces but then seems to spend most of his time up fwd. If he kicks a few goals he might get a decent SC score but...

    Tour de France

And Grater was right about Lotto Soudal. But he doesn't have Greipel?
  14. Rupert

    Tour de France

That's for both of us, Prospector. We both got Greipel and Cav. Pretty fun stage with all the wind and rain,

    Tour de France

    Terrible conditions.

    Tour de France

See your reasoning, Grater. Don't necessarily agree. I have faith in Kwiatkowski plus Martin and Stybar for those other stages. Probably wrongly.

    Tour de France

I just noticed that Adam Hansen is still in the Tour. I thought he'd been withdrawn after his crash last week. If you didn't know, Hansen is an Aussie who has ridden in 11 consecutive Grand Tours. This Tour will be his 12th and if he finishes it he will be the equal record-holder for consecutive...

    Tour de France

Why Lotto-Soudal? Entering sprinter territory and Cavendish a clear favourite. imo

    Tour de France

Ah, the good old days. I enter these comp.s for fun and to learn more about the riders/racing. I try to understand the rules but past a certain point my eyes glaze over, my head starts to feel like its stuffed with cotton wool and I give up.

Great start FG - 44th, and Graters - 60th. Both not far off 1st.
