    Forwards 2016

Opening day jitters... After listening to the podcast this morning, I'm very strongly considering ditching Dusty and upgrading a rookie mid to a premo. Currently have both Kerridge and Kennedy in the mids with Mills at M5. Would love to move him down to 6. I've been settled for the best part of...

    Defenders 2016

Im starting 2 of the 3. If GAJ somehow doesnt get up for round 1, it will be all 3. No bias at all.

    X v. Y

Weitering + Grimley or M. Brown + Currie Have had Currie locked at R3 since day 1. Have resisted the temptation to get Weitering in up til this point but somehow my defence looks a lot more solid with him at D5.

Way too many brads in this thread! That post was definitely meant for @Brad74

Would you consider upgrading Gore to Crouch? Don't mind Sauce in the ruck either, haven't seen him in many teams. He won't have the same HTA as previous years without Danger but should still be a good pick. If you would prefer Martin then look at downgrading Cox to a Chol or something, as I...

    Rookies 2016

I've never really rated Cowan. Sure it's a nice story that he's made it back but others have gone past him.

    Strength of Schedule 2016

We've had shocking draws the last few years, which is understandable. Last year was the year it finally caught up with us. Easy draws count for nothing in September though.

    Rookies 2016

And yet last year Gregson and Lang both played 20+ games. If you're good enough, you play. Smedts will never be good enough. Bews was a role player, no longer best 22. Thurlow didn't have a position. All were 18 year old draftees. Ruggles is older and has a defined position. He's a different...

    Rucks 2016

He's not a must if you go with Doddys line of thinking. If going with 2 premo non-Goldy rucks means you can shore up your other lines and cover the shortfall in points that you cop by not having Goldy then it could be worth it. You just have to come to terms with knowing that you're going...

Bennell is the new and improved Buddy-coaster. I had him last year. When he actually plays its great. Then he misses 2 weeks. Then comes back for 3. Then misses 4. Incredibly frustrating. But so much upside and potential. I can't pick him though.

    Defenders 2016

Or have him floating D7/M9? I swear one year, my planned floating defence and forward DPP cover will actually happen.

Buddy is in my never again basket. If it was a choice between him and Jesse White, I would have to have a good long think about it. Go with Gray.

    SuperCoachCoach #9 - Season 2016

The AA-ZZ leagues are "open leagues" that anyone can join. The "ranked leagues" are by application and invitation only. Generally the ranked leagues are more competitive and finish higher but the open leagues did quite well last year too.

    Starting team structure

I see him as similar to Cockatoo last year. High priced rookie, undoubted talent, flashy, low possessions and built like a grasshopper. Cockatoo played a couple of games early then was in the twos for most of the year. Milera is all of those things to a tee so far. I think he is fighting Betts...

    Starting team structure

I think the expensive rookies are the way to go. The cheap ones are nice because they allow extra premiums but they're no good to you if they don't play. The expensive ones (maybe with the exception of Milera) will play pretty much every week. They might still only top out at the same price as a...

    Midfield 2016

He was missing Caddy, Bartel and Duncan for large chunks of the year. I don't think he as so much tagged out of games as the fact that he just couldnt get into them as much. An easier draw, healthy list, and gun clearance player to help him out... He will be in most midfields by the time the...

    Midfield 2016

34 disposals, 19 contested. 9 tackles, 11 clearances. Kicked 2.1 Wonder if champion data were on this game given it was only a VFL practice match? Sounds like a 150+ game to me.

    Midfield 2016

2006 was the last year I didn't have him in my side. Can't see that changing this year. Not sure I am start with him though... Even with my unhealthy man-crush.

If even a few these midpricers work out and become keepers then what's the worst that happens with Hall? Ideally for me he becomes a keeper which frees up someone averaging 85-90 (a hopefully fit Wells maybe) to float between F7 and M9 as needed later in the season. With Essendon looking like...
