    Round 3 Trades

Theoretically a great move... if Clayton can get close to 110. Your guess is as good as mine.

    Round 3 Trades

GHS stuffing his thumb has forced my hand. Unsure whether to go with GHS -> Newman via DPP on its own, or to also do Z. Jones -> Oliver. The fact that Clayton has not played a bad match through all of JLT + first 2 rounds has me thinking. Dees have a softish start IMO too. Jones not playing...

If he was listed as a R/F I'd certainly have taken him over Cameron. Think that link is still super valuable at R3.

Yeah, I'm running on a similar philosophy with Darcy Cameron. I have a fair few mid priced players so I think it's extremely important to have that R3 generating cash. If you think Preuss is good enough to stay in the side, do it.

Please don't sit on 211. I need him healthy for the first 10 rounds.

Round 1 discussion, scores + more

Well... Marchbank and Nank's scores have me changing things around a bit. Now have a couple more mid priced options but have compensated with a bit more cash generation too (hopefully). I'm in love with the team. I feel so dirty, but who cares.

Switched from Shaw + Taranto to Macrae and Marchbank and used the extra dough to get Turner at F6. 3/1/4 5/2/4 0/1/2 3/2/3 very happy.

And anyone who starts with a R9 bye player also has the same liberty to trade in R9 players after their bye. You have to look over the R11/12/13 byes... nobody is going to have a full team (or a fully premium 18) so you can guarantee you will make most of the points back over those rounds if...

    2017 Team Structure

It's one game in the grand scheme of things and you're guaranteed to make at least half the points back over the 3 bye rounds. I don't see it being a major issue at all. Say people load up on R9 premiums after their bye... even if you manage to get 22 playing there's a very good chance the R9...

Was just thinking.... we probably be shouldn't be that scared of having a R9 bye player per line. We can use them to loophole the bench players that round, which raises the scoring floor.

Same position. Would be locked and loaded... just can't bring myself to take Nankervis over Ryder. Can't have two R9 bye forwards.

    2017 Forward Midpricers

Is this unprecedented? Have we ever had this many mid priced players with legitimate reasons for improving their average? (new club + role, ESS suspension, LTI). I'm trying to get some context on how much risk we can afford to take this year. Last year I can't think of anywhere near as many...

    2017 Forward Midpricers

Just brought him in. He has been in and out of my team. His tackling makes me think of 1st year Zorko. Obviously not as damaging as the Zork... but still can see him going 90+. Yes... ya need to be averaging 95+ to be in the equation at F6, but I don't think that's out of the question...

    2017 Backline Midpricers

Agreed. Not a big fan, but he's in my team at D3. The backline is supposed to be the best line for rookies... but outside of Hampton and Keefe, there's not much I trust... let alone good scoring potential.

    2017 Forward Primos

Tom Lynch very close to locked right now. Of course it's just a preseason game but the Suns look very well set up and I have no doubts the forward supply will be up this season.

He's definitely the guy I am way too keen on this year. Just snuck back into my team at D3. Will he stay there? Probably not. Very irrational love right now.

Mids shouldn't be too hard, it's not like I can field 8 non-rookies. SPP + whoever pops up round 1. Currently have Barrett, Hibberd, Graham. Forwards also tricky, but again I think there'll be options and I've left enough money to spend a bit on them. Currently Schoey, JKH, Pickett, Black, Eddy.

Sitting with: 3/0/5 5/1/4 1/1/1 2/1/5 Keeping it quite simple this year. Gun backs. Guns mids + Jaeger. Gawn/ Sandi. Dollhouse/ruck cover/ Roughy. Putting up cash for rookies in the back line.
