So right at the moment my trades for the week are pretty much dependent on selection of both Ridley & Balta. If one of them is not selected then I'll trade them out for Parker - looks like he's about the only good rookie I've missed. Kicking myself a bit. I had Parker in my starting team...

Rucking Hell! I went with Grundy / English in rucks (I know it was risky). Not surprisingly English has not smashed out any big scores - but then again most of the rucks have been a bit down. I can trade Ridley (DEF) to a rookie (with DPP magic) and then have enough cash to upgrade English...

I notice that Melb have named Lockhart. $103k Rookie DEF/MID. If scores / job security is ok then he could be a good downgrade target in a couple of weeks if Ridley (or other mid/rookie defenders) don't work out. Dual position is a bonus too.

Balta has been dropped. Given I have most of the good FWD rookies is it worth doing a correction trade? (Went Balta instead of Parker but I've got Setterfield, Drew & Petruccelle).

I have had English in and out of my team - currently in but risky. One option that I am exploring is to look at Bines (WCE) as $102k rookie (RUC/FWD) and then someone like Lobb (FWD/RUC) at F3. Freo have lost Sandi for a while and Jesse Hogan is also out for some time I imagine. Lobb should...

Anyone considering Hibberd in DEF? He had a bad year last year but Melb have a different looking structure this year (personnel/injuries) and I suspect the new rules may suit him.

Just been looking at some of the options. TMac looks ok - expect he will spend more time foward with Hogan out Other one to look at is Ben Brown from Roos = high risk/high reward or possibly turn to crap ;-) Brownie is $363k plays Adel this week and then Saints in GF round...I can imagine...

I've heard both stories - he might be back and he's out... If he's named I'd be REALLY cautious - either late out or if playing could do more damage and impact scoring. Maybe a bench option if you have th eoptoins.

I'm in 3 prelims. 3 trades left with $150k cash. Have to deal with Kelly & Shaw this week. Will bench Kelly and trade Shaw. Thinking Shaw to Houli - generate a little cash and upgrade rookie to TMac for some extra DPP flex.
