What do you see Roughead averaging? I was locked on him all pre season but I don't see him averaging more than 90, can even see him going as low as the 70-80 region. For me its too much risk for his awkward price.

If the Hawks have given him the captaincy then i expect him to play all games.

Then it becomes do you take Rough who hopefully averages 90 before his bye, do you take the 90 each week and the $70k he makes and upgrade/keep him or start a rookie that scores 50 makes $100k

Based on his past record you would think that a 90 average would be the bottom end of expectations rather than the top.

The question is what effect the cancer treatment and the year out will mean as the year goes on and there really is no way to know this for sure. Based on his price, the fact he got the captaincy, the way he's looked in the preseason, and the lack of other strong forward options I think Roughy is worth the punt. I'm hoping for 20 games at 90-95 average.

Some real tempting mid price forwards going around, i think 2 is manageable but any more may see you missing out on some of the fwd rookies on offer.
