I was happy enough with Oxley last night after reversing my Oxley to Rance trade that Id been sitting on all week. Not so happy by quarter time.

well, got sucked in by Yarran, atleast you aren't me :')

my defence will be so shit this week, Docherty injured so have to use Edwards and already have Houli and Yarran's scores.... oh well, hopefully Newnes, Shaw and Higgins help out

My back 6 is Shaw, Rance, Higgins, Ibbotson, Hodge & Simpson.

I was apprehensive on Hodge for a long time, and got burned by Ibbo last year (but Johnson our made him too appealing) but these guys picked themsleves (with timing and price changes for my team).

Never really considered McDonald, he's had a really good year but I very rarey get on someone having a break out year because I am doubtful they can keep it up. Of course this means I miss out on a few guys like Jaench and Swallow last year.

I think to close the year out the best 6 defenders will be Shaw, Hodge, Ibbotson then daylight and a bucket of 4-6 players making up the last 3 such as Murphy, Enright, Laird, Higgins, Houli maybe even Newnes... Just my take anyways.

It's been such a fiddly year with defenders that I've gone about trying to get value rather than the best averaging/scoring players at the time.

Pulled the trigger on Hamling to Hibbard, leaves me enough cash for Gaz next week, if I get a good run with injuries I can make a late upgrade in Def but as it is my defence is
Hodge, Docherty, Newnes, Kolo, Mcgoven and Hibbard, it's a bit makeshift but it'll do.

Brought in Hodge for Hamling. Had hoped to have kept Hamling but figured I'd need to make the move this week. Hopefully Hodge delivers!

I also brought Hodge into my backline this week, and will finish my team next week with Gaz in the mids. But Smith.B may find his way out if he doesn't pull his finger out.

Very frustrated with Smith as well, it might be a choice between bringing in Gaz or ditching Smith as I don't have the trades for both and already have a complete midfield.

I bought in picken last week for a 140 and the doc this week for a 91.
Looks like top 6: Shaw, Hodge, Picken, Yeo, Gibson? and maybe Oxley after yesterday??????????

Interesting that prior to this round, Ox is averaging 80, while Saad is averaging 82 ...

Is a guy who gets subbed really a top 6 defender?

My defenders are Shaw, McDonald, Hodge, Ibbotson, Malceski, Oxley (Hamling, Edwards)

I see no point in trading any of them at the moment unless I get an injury. Oxley produces a lot and I've kept Malceski all year.
