This is someone who I am looking at to make a big step this season. No chance for a sub affected game, really cemented his spot and scored very highly late last year, and with an increase in TOG% and fitness base I expect Mitchell to get even better. We all know his potential for scoring and I think we will see his scoring jump up a notch. Plus, he has already proven that he still scores well within that deep Sydney midfield. Anyone else thinking of starting him? Atm it's either him or Fyfe in my starting team (can't bring myself to not start Fyfe).

Can't see him in my starting line up but i do rate him, I have players like Wines, Parker, Steven ect with him or in front of him & I doubt any of those will be starting in my team either, make up at the moment is Danger, Pendles, Ablett, Rockliff, Duncan, Libba. RookieX2. so that type of selection would have to replace Duncan or Pendles if i was desperate for cash.

Prestia, Parker, Wines, Shiel and Sloane are options I like more than Mitchell, but I can understand the pick if you decide to go with him

I have considered him, but like M4TT stated, there are other options I like as well. Gaff, Bont, Sidebottom could be added to that listed. SO many great options around 550K. atm I am liking Shiel.

If I could trust Longmuire to play him mostly on-ball he'd be a lock for me.
Take out sub games and he averaged 112.73 last year, 5/15 full games under 100: 77, 80, 84, 91, 97.
Compare JPK: av. 110.2, only 5/22 under 100: 61, 62, 73, 83, 97.
$563,700 v $594,800

Good solid pick for mine. Doesn't present huge valve in terms of price but i can't see him going backwards this year.

I had him in my team for a while but if I end up going 4 + Libba is is hard to find a spot for him. If someone picks up an injury between now and the start of the season Mitchell is still a chance to get a start for me I reckon.

Would be first picked in the forward line if he was eligible there IMO.

yeah its shame him, Bont, R.Gray ect arn't FWDs anymore, was very keen on Bennell till this latest injury, struggling F3... Billings is sitting there at the moment

Yes, without the sub games he averages around 113 with room for improvement in his TOG%. Wines, Prestia and Parker have never averaged this and i'm not too sure how Dangerfield gone will affect Sloane. I personally think he is of similar risk to those players with more upside. Will be interesting to watch how he develops, but we all know how he can rack up the numbers. Love Parker as a player but I think the Swans will use him more forward because he is so dangerous up there, which could lead to his scoring being closer to last year rather than 2014.

I've got Barlow F3 with Martin and Dahlhaus F1 and F2... Higgins is a suggestion, apparently been very very good over the preseason, lots of potential there

You reckon Higgins has it in him to improve again? Will probably play the same role as last year I'm imagining ...

I think he can definitely improve, with interchange coming down he's worked super hard over the preseason... When midfielders go forward to rest he'll get to roam the grounds a bit more

True but now with the interchange cap Parker, Titch, KJack, JPK, Hanners could all spend time in the mids and forwards. Mills off HB might be a go after the intraclub game
