With regards to league placement, there are multiple factors that are considered, it's not just based on last year's a ranking. Includes - what SCC league did the user represent last year, how many seasons has the user spent representing a ranked SCC league and multi year ranking history.

In short - we reward existing users/league participants and reliability. So if you join our leagues each year, we're not going to bump you to the bottom just because you had a bad year, or for a new user with no posting history.

The user accounts are the best way to track league participation & ranking history. We've had fake accounts and people giving up torpedoing leagues in the past and so want to reward reliable members who keep coming back!
