I like the Goldy and a cheaper ruck Sub-500K, someone potential to be a keeper but wont drop dramatically, gone cold on Sinclair a bit, don't mind Tippett.
Dont expect him to play all rounds though. Maybe 20 with his knees

Blicavs - 2 Kicks, 10 Handballs, 9/12 Contested, 3 Hit Outs, 2 Tackles 36% Game Time - 55sc pts.

Gave away 2 FKs and had a poor disposal efficiency 66.7% yet still knocked up 55sc pts, is he just built for SC,

Have never considered him myself, but is anyone still considering Lobbe? Monstered by Gawn in the ruck contests today. More importantly, just 6 touches and no marks so didn't do a lot around the ground. Not terrible but doesn't look good from a SC prospective.

There were good reasons to consider him but I never seriously thought about it. Kinda a shame that he went so terribly today, a lot will jump off him now.

Kurt Tippett has been my R2 since day 1. Have plans for him as my long term swing cover that can average 100.

Would you take Gawn above any of Goldy, Stef, Sauce or Mummy? Maybe Mummy with his injury history... Gawn went on a tear over a few weeks last year but can he do that for a season?

I reckon Gawn can average 110 this year. Maybe even push up to 115. Supposedly worked hard on his fitness after Goldy worked him over at the end of last year.

24yo so hitting his prime as a big bloke.

I'd certainly take him over Sauce who'll average under 110, maybe even under 105. Mummy has big ceiling (120+) but so injury-prone you'd go for Gawn as a safer pick. Stef also has a SC ceiling about 110, I'd back Gawn to do better this year. Goldy will probably average 120+ again but is also $145k more expensive - depends what your needs/preferences are in that regard.

Gawn's first full pre-season, off his break out year, where they found his full time position... Certainly sounds like he could improve again.

Wasn't he borderline qualifying for the Olympics in the steeple chase? I reckon he'd have them all covered easily!

If you're taking Gawn you're taking has a season long keeper. The first three weeks are practically irrelevant when it comes to a decision whether or not to start him.

Also he knocked out 80 and 106 against them last season which isn't amazing but not the end of the world either.

Gawn was massive, wasn't he? Or was it that Lobbe was so poor?
Pity that, as I was hoping Lobbe would be a preferred R2 for many and it would be a good POD for me. Now it looks likely a lot will jump off him.

Port play the Tigers in the last week. Hopefully they rest Maric and Lobbe scores well and sucks a few more people in.

Just wanted peoples thoughts on Gawn. Not going near Lobbe, but considering Gawn or Blicavs for R2. Currently have Goldy and Blicavs
