I've used my cash and gone:
M.Crouch -> Bontempelli
Hall -> Montagna

Wasn't convinced on Tags but an easy run to come and an easy run during SC finals. Also has 10 of the last 14 games at Etihad where he averages 106.5.
Bont seems to be hitting form.

You might wonder why I'm trading out Hall? Couple of reasons.... I have a lot of cash on the bench I want to use.... He started off well and made money but hasn't shown he can score well over longer periods..... He's been off the past month which is either he's struggling as the teams struggles (which with their injury toll they will be for many weeks to come) or he's not able to keep up the effort or he's been carrying this shoulder injury for a few weeks which means it may stay around. So I just decided, I'm ranked outside the top 10k at this stage and I need to take a punt and there's enough questions there to warrant punting him, even if he misses just the 1 week.

I don't like the Hall trade but I get the reasoning behind it, I like the Bont trade assuming you have the top scorers (Danger, Pendles, Hanners) already and not too many underperforming PODs

I'm with @bat pretty dumb trades.
Again would you like to elaborate and contribute or just make criticisms? I've given my reasons for my trades... would you like to give a counter-argument or just call me dumb?

End of the day I need to take some risks. Yes, I could take the safe options like most but it's not going to gain me any advantage. I wouldn't recommend trading out Hall for most people and I was one of the first to jump on him preseason and a big fan of his. But, I'm taking a punt on Hall continuing to struggle and looking elsewhere. With so much cash on the bench I'm keen to try and make some ground up over the next couple of weeks.

Surely you see the counter argument without having it spelled out to you.

The guy hasn't scored under 80 this year. His 'poor' month (avergaing 86.25) consisted of 32, 28, 21, 32 possession games. The only thing that hasn't been there is the tackling.

You're assuming his 1 week shoulder injury has affected him over the last month, fine - it may have been. But there's more evidence to suggest GCS's poor form is responsible.

It's a 1 week injury. 1 week. You don't trade a premo out for a 1 weeker until you get a better look at them. I'd be more inclined to trade out Gaz.

This year has been particularly harsh early for injuries so everyone's going to be wanting more come season's end. That's why you'll be wanting this one back.

But this is all pointless because you have said you did the trades so we can't sway you anyway (which is why I didn't bother replying in the first place).

As for me, I'm ranked similarly and equally looking for a trade that is high risk, high reward and that guy is Jackson Trengove. He had 9 clangers last week for Pete's sake and he still managed an 81.

Will be forced to double trade just to avoid a Krispy Kreme.

Houli -> Trengove
Barlow -> Joey

If Barlow comes in I will have some head scratching to do if I spend that second trade. Gotta make every one count.

Trengrove will have more clangers against better rucks, be careful.

His attack on the footy is sublime. The ruck position is such a good place for scoring solo. I've picked up both Stef and Gawn early in previous years and it's keeping the tradition going with Trengove.

I see him more a Stef type accumulator with a crap DE and no HTA but tackling hard and winning it for his team.

And if there's a line to take a risk on, it's the backline.

Solid reasoning, I was more just saying that the clanger count probably will always be high.
