Yeah I'm holding my second trade too. Have gone Papley to Montagna with my first. Waiting on Barlow. If he isn't a late in then he will become Zorko. So lucky to have doubled down last week otherwise I would've had no cash to play with.

Seedsman was my mid-price as the start of the year $324k

He now is $334k with a BE of 92. Is this week the week to trade him out? Advice.
I wouldn't trade just because he might drop a couple of dollars in value.

If there is someone who you want to get in who will be a clear cut improvement to your side - like if sacrificing Seedy lets you get Shaw - then OK. Don't just get rid of him for the sake of it unless there is someone you really want to get in.

Jordan Lewis? Has been ok last couple of weeks, the 50 he has in his cycle ends this week (BE33). Brad crouch needs to go. Originally was going to go to Priddis but that means going early on hopper which i'm not keen on. Thoughts please.
My thoughts - I think I prefer the Priddis option. I don't understand why it means going early on Hopper.

If Lewis has been OK the last couple of weeks it has been without Hodge and with Mitchell being rested. Lewis was a big disappointment to his owners last year. Tread carefully.

Sorry i should have said i miss out on priddis by 5k with a direct crouch trade

As one of those Lewis owners last year. he is on my never again list. He butchers the ball like no one else can. The king of the spuds imo

Mate love the logic! Love the reasoning. Yes I'm being greedy
I know where you are coming from Geoff. The structure of our teams are pretty similar and seems the cash league is where we are focusing on.

My strategy this year is to hold premos unless its a LTI (Fyfe/Houli). It has been painful holding Gray and Laird, but I think it will pay off in the long term. I am focusing on upgrading my rookies and not sideways trading. If I have the luxury of some spare trades come finals time, I may cull 1 or 2 underperforming guys, but if we should have learned anything from previous years it's that we need trades up our sleeve, especially if we are focusing on leagues.

You have to follow your gut, but my advice is stick with Stef and use the rookies to improve your side.

You've got something against McPherson? Seems like a good enough downgrade IMO. If you don't like him surely you have a ripe backline rookie you could turn into Brand for cash. I have about four backline rookies who a close to cooked ... just don't have enough trades per week to cull them at the moment...

My thoughts are that Hopper looks a keeper so will have to trade for him next week.mcpherson will be good for a few weeks bit long term a stepping stone and once players come back from injury will he have made enough cash? Don't mind brand but job security has to be an issue, spangher waiting in the wings

Good job mate, I'm kicking myself for not having the knackers to stick with him after having him all preseason, I'll ride it out with NicNat who has definitely not been disappointing but Goldy & Gawn is definitely the premium ruck combo

My only good move this year. Starting with Gawn & Goldy. Had Nic Nat envy for a couple of weeks but got over it pretty quickly.

Same boat. 3 playing rookies in the backline but I'm two premos in the midfield away from having every other line sorted. Back line can wait.

Are the people who are trading (or planning) to trade out Barlow, keeping Wells? If so, why? If both need to be traded out in coming weeks than its six of one, half a dozen of the other, but is there something about Wells with his achilles + resting that suggests he's going to be coming back sooner?

I've used my cash and gone:
M.Crouch -> Bontempelli
Hall -> Montagna

Wasn't convinced on Tags but an easy run to come and an easy run during SC finals. Also has 10 of the last 14 games at Etihad where he averages 106.5.
Bont seems to be hitting form.

You might wonder why I'm trading out Hall? Couple of reasons.... I have a lot of cash on the bench I want to use.... He started off well and made money but hasn't shown he can score well over longer periods..... He's been off the past month which is either he's struggling as the teams struggles (which with their injury toll they will be for many weeks to come) or he's not able to keep up the effort or he's been carrying this shoulder injury for a few weeks which means it may stay around. So I just decided, I'm ranked outside the top 10k at this stage and I need to take a punt and there's enough questions there to warrant punting him, even if he misses just the 1 week.

Future-you called and he said he wants his trade back.
Care to elaborate or are you just going to make a snide remark and not contribute anything to the discussion???
