If Tom Lee isnt named then i will upgrade papley but to whom?

I have Buddy, Barlow, Well, Hall, Kerridge, Petracca and Kennedy

Was thinking either Tags (BE of 77), Zorko or Martin
Depends on sides named. You might have Barlow, Wells and Hall all missing and need to hang on to Papley for this week - he's still got a very gettable BE so no urgency to offload him.

If you were to upgrade then hard to go wrong with any of those 3 - gun to my head I'd probably go Martin. Tags is hard to trust at his age. Zorko might get a bit more attention with Beams and Rocky out. Martin seems stable but his dad issues are still there and hard to know what will happen late in the year when the Tigers might be out of finals contention and you need him for finals. Another option for a POD might be Motlop who looks set for a break-out year.

Anyone else like Enright as defensive POD? 1 bad score about to go out of his salary movement and he's been really consistent with 100+ scores. Unlikely to be as cheap as he is now. Also considering Savage/Docherty, both are putting out really good scores even in losses which bodes well.

Main concern with Enright is that he is guaranteed to be rested at some point. He was already rested in round 4 against the dons. This has to be taken into account when projecting his average.

Thanks, I guess that is the big concern with him. Seems to plenty of options in defence but not a lot that stand out at that price range.

Def: Shaw, Rich, Seedsman, D Byrne-Jones, Tippa, Brown, Adams, Weitering
Mid: Ablett, Danger, Priddis, R Gray, Hannebury, Libba, Petracca, Hewett, Smith, Davis, Oliver
Ruc: Gawn, Natanui, Grimley
Fwd: D Martin, A Hall, Zorko, Wells, Kerridge, Barlow, Kennedy, Menadue

Any early advice at this stage before teams? 1 or 2 trade or none. Didn't touch my backline last week and had 4 rookies and a bad seed.
Thanks in advance

Is it just me or is everyone grabbing every rookie that comes out the bubble? I.e is everyone thinking there's going to be a lack of rookies? I don't see it. Mathieson, Trengove, Hopper, Broad, Collins, Yarran, Gore, Long, Freeman, Otten, Menegola all look like they'll get a chance at some stage with varying levels of job security. It just seems like everyone's in a frenzy over every rookie that comes up. Trengove, Hopper & Mathieson look like awesome bench cover to me.

Paint the fence. One up, one down. Start going hard.

Docherty or Simpson in the backs. Rance maybe.

Menadue has to go.

Dalhaus isn't your fwd line.

Mids look OK for the moment.

Of that list, I only really see those 3 first ones being good options. But, others have come through that weren't expected.

I'm certainly going 1-up this week. I bypassed Keays last week but with bad news on Beams and Rocky I'm hesitant on that being the right call and considering him this week. Also bypassing McPherson at this stage as well. Brand interests me somewhat too. Ultimately I'll wait until teams drop and make the call then whether I bring a rookie in and on what line.

I think the question for hopper will be if it is worth side swapping a stagnant rookie around 200k (Davis/Gresham/Menadue) to him, as Hopper should make 150-200k with an average of 80.

Hopper looks like he could be an awesome m9/10 if he can play out the year. Would much rather him coming off my bench as cover in round 21 than a Gresham or Hewett.

i really want joey mont this week but unfortunately with laird Boyd and Adams out this week
im going to have trade Adams and bring in Docherty or Simpson and hope joey doesn't go up to much for next week
but the question is Simpson who is more reliable and more expensive
or Docherty with a low break even and cheaper

My plan was to double up this week, spewing I'm 3k short to pull off Davis>Priddis, Menadue>Montagna. Now thinking I may have to cull Adams or Wells, if Menadue is named I might not be able to afford to cut loose a live player if its the difference between copping a donut or not.
