Round 9 Captaincy

Doesn't seem clear cut to me this week.

I'm thinking of putting the "C" on Goldy vs Carlton as Kruz is out is probably safe enough.

Lots of choices fro VC:
Hanners vs Hawks - solid choice but doesn't have a really high ceiling
Parker vs Hawks - might be worth a risk as can go big
Pendles vs Cats - went well last week but up against tougher opposition this week. A complete jinx player for me. I have never once guessed right as to when to put the captaincy on the guy.
Danger vs Pies - in form. Probably a good solid option again.

What constitutes a high ceiling? Hanners last 3 against the hawks are 138, 102, 159.

Anything over 120 and your taking it.

Danger or Selwood VC for me and I don't expect to have to worry about the C

Well, yes ... I would certainly class 159 as "high" and 138 as a very solid captaincy score.

Obviously I hadn't actually gone and looked up those numbers. I was more basing it on a feel that Parker puts in more high scores but also more really low scores where as Hanners seems to very consistently get good but not massive scores.

Out of that lot, I like Shaw. A little riskier but he is in some really good form and more likely than the others to go big.

I'm also tempted by Gawn vs the Lions as well.

Don't have Hanners (yet...) but he's a good VC this week - always gets up for the Hawks games.

I am starting to lean towards Goldy VC into Viney C.

Goldy racked up 200 when he came up against an under strength GWS last year and I can see him doing that v Carlton this week.
