menadue - smith
Mills - Rocklift

or

menadue - smith
wietering - houli/docherty/pittard

I feel the first option is probally gonna give me more points with the expense of a little cash generation, the only way it will be a bad trade is if rockliff turns into a spud or gets injured again. Last years scores when he came back from injury 126,101,50,135,115,145,122,146,152 as you can see it may be alot harder in weeks to come. I guess option 1 is tiny bit more risky?

Deadset chaos this week, got of Dea for Simpson last week but now Weitering goes and Laird for 2-3! Laird is a hold for me, but still have deadset plodder Jesse Lonergan in. Can move him back to defence so I can go Weitering down to Smith, how do the Collingwood fans rate his JS? Surely he isn't another Tom Lee in waiting.

Just far to many rookies around and premos like SMitchell looking really shaky. Going him over Parker in R3 was a horrendous move with hindsight.

This is the squad after my 1st Trade, any ideas fellas? Tippa may be expendable, use DPP to put Adams back in the defence will leave me $547 for a forward. May need to jump on the Dusty rollercoaster!

Laird out for a couple, more than likely hold. Or does other people have different ideas? Will hold for me personally.
Really not sure. I will probs hold and hope Tippa/Hartley explode in the next 2-3 :(

Is it worth going Wines to Parker?

Weitering has to go with Laird out. No issue with that. I'm holding Gray as well so it hurts. Was looking to dump Sheridan this week but he might unfortunately survive another week. Really, really don't want Libba to be out.

Will definitely be holding Laird, but his injury brings questions into my trade, as it may pay off to upgrade a defender rather than a forward this week

option 1, Bring Tippa on field to cover Laird... Trades would be Ben Kennedy+Dea to Dusty+J.Smith via dpp

option 2, Leave Kennedy on field up forward, Trade Tippa+Dea to J.Smith+Simpson

basically becomes a question of fielding Tippa+Dusty vs Kennedy+Simpson

Laird a hold for sure, looking to maybe go early on McVeigh, Simpson seems fully priced, Boyd has 80's written all over him IMO

Giving B Smith a bit of a look this week as has been solid & know what his ceiling is a nd he's not hitting it currently.

For me it's
Weitering -> Smith (via DPP)
Dea -> Pittard

Pittard a bit of a punt, but I've liked what he does for a while and not very keen on many of the other popular defence premiums. Solid scores this season with a lowest of 87. Seems to have matured into a consistent performer.

Has anyone got all of Laird, Rance, and Weitering? Rough luck if so.

I was bringing Dusty or Zorko in this week via Dea and Weitering. Now with Laird gone it means I would be playing DBJ, Tippa and Brown all on field. Not sure I like that. May hold off on the fwd upgrade (and see how Beams affects Zorko and whether Dusty can pump out consecutive 100s) and get a def instead. Simpson may be full price but he doesn't move price much due to his stupidly consistent scores. Safe for a 95 avg. Pittard still seems risky to me but could work out. Houli might be worth a look later in the year if he finds some solid form. Docherty maybe? Gonna be a big couple of weeks I think. Hopefully the injuries stop soon.

Is it just me or.........
Do I only notice injuries when the player is SC relevant.

Rocky, R Gray, JJ, laird, Stef getting KOd, weiters Fyfe etc
Every week it's kaos
Only 10-15% of players are relevant but seems like more than 50% of injuries are to these guys.

Is it a conspiracy?

Depending if B.Crouch plays:

Weitering>DPP x2 > Smith
Dea>Simpson/Houli

if not

B.Crouch> Selwood/Zorko
Crouch had 36 touches in the SANFL so surely he plays and we get repaid for holding him

Be cautious on this one as I did this last year and he dished up crap for the rest of the year.

2015 rounds 1-8 -> 67, 130, 94, 102, 104, 59, 71, 63, ave 86!
Rounds 9-16 -> 61, 95, 80, 67, DNP, 78, 62, DNP ave 73
Rounds 17-23 -> DNP, 74, 37, 106, 100, 85, 75 ave 79

He may of improved and is more consistant but just be cautious.

My only trade this week is Weitering out, Smith in (via Adams fwd to def, Menadue from mid to fwd).

Happy enough to let the other rookies fatten for at least 1 more week. Leaves me with:

DEF - Simpson, Docherty, B Smith, Rich, Byrne-Jones, Hartley | Adams, Ruggles (really wish I had gone Wagner instead of him!)

MID - Dangerfield, Hannebery, Pendlebury, Viney, Hall, Liberatore, C Ellis, Hewett | Gresham, Short, J Smith

RUC - Goldstein, Naitanui | Frost

FWD - Martin, Barlow, Wells, Kerridge, Kennedy, Menadue | McDonald-Tipungwuti, Brown

I do have a decent amount of cash in the bank, but I think I will hold til next week for any more trades. I want to get GAJ in, but just get worried each week that he is not fit and about to miss weeks.

Is this too aggressive with only 34K left in the bank & down to 24 trades? or should I be painting the fence?

Nope, fire away, good trades IMO. No hesitation with the Lonergan trade. Wouldn't prioritise trading out BKen especially with a winnable game this week.

Don't think we should be afraid to burn early this year, plenty of SC relevant players have copped injuries and we're just going into moo season.

Realistically we're not going to have many trades to navigate the byes because they're so late this year.

Am I the only one liking the look of Docherty? I feel like I'm missing it totally because everyone is going to Simpson instead.
