It's a genuine worry, why's he playing R1 if he's carrying something that's the question... I'll certainly be watching close this week

Same. Watching very closely. If hes lost that inside mid time and is playing more of a wing and flank role then he's gone for me. JLT didn't concern me, but genuinely thought he would become an uber premo this year. One bad game doesn't mean he won't still get there, but he's got a fair bit of ground to make up.

I'm the same but I have the cash to move someone.

I have Eddy, Pickett/Parfitt, Taranto, Florent in the forward line.

I really would like to move Hannan in but need to pick one of the above to take out. WHE looks like he needs to be picked after last night and TT might have to make way for him next week. I suspect I might have more than one other corrective trade to do next week so I'm thinking I might have to move on the most obvious correction this week.

If Parfitt doesn't make the final squad I might turn him into veal. Otherwise which one to pick??? Leaning towards Eddy at this time...

Yup, he's dropped. For me, that means I either need to trade Riewoldt, one of my dropped rookies, or cop a zero this week. I may have to eat my hat, trust everyone else's judgement, and go down to Steele hoping he's a keeper. That's the only way I can get Marchbank and WHE into my team. I really need an update on Riewoldt.

Can any of you South Australians out there shed some light on Eddy? He was quiet last week in crappy conditions but I thought he'd be a lock for Port for at least the first month or so. Hinkley was so bullish on him in the press after he kicked those goals in JLT 3 it just seems odd to drop him after one game. Thoughts?

I wouldn't trade any out just yet. You don't have a donut, do you? Eddy is the only one not playing?
Taranto at home against the Suns; Parfitt against Nth - both have a chance to score well.
Lomgmuire praised Florent all pre-season. Pickett is unlikely to lose his spot and gives you a permanent bench option.

Doesn't make any sense, to me. At home against Freo you'd think would be a good confidence booster for him.

Just don't think he's best 22. They have plenty of talls - Westhoff, Dixon, Trengove, etc. He was only on the bench first game. I didn't want to pick him, but everyone else was. I dropped him for Hannan this week.

So, here is my plan. Caddy down to WHE.

I think Caddy looks like a good pick up for the Tiges but I have mild regrets about starting him in my SC team and he is pretty much the only way for me to get in WHE who looks like he'll make good coin. What do people think, worth the trade?

Then I have to decide whether to correct Jy Simpkin to Dan Houston or give Jy one more week and correct him to one of the Sydney boys next week if needed. Simpkin is playing forward pocket and despite the wraps on him looked unconvincing to me. North have GWS and Dogs the next two weeks. Houston looking everything you'd want in a 117K rookie by does he survive when Jasper comes back into the Port line up?

I never know with Hinkley but he's looked very good and his 83.3%DE is elite.
I'm trading him in if he's selected. But beware Port have 2 tough games ahead in Adelaide and GWS(A) before a few easier ones.

I just watched Hinkley's post game press conference. He said the Pittard and Hartlett were both expected to play next week so that should hopefully give some clarity. If Huston survives them coming back I'll pick him with confidence.

I only really saw the highlights from the Coll Vs Bullies game but watched all the Coll Vs Rich game & have to say WHE has really impressed me, goes harder than I thought he did & is also more skillful than I thought too, I can't see him averaging under 80 just because of his high DE%... I'm also in the same boat with Caddy, just doesn't feel like a good starting pick at the moment, a breakeven of 118 hanging over him already & a 50/50 Mid/Fwd role this is all a big concern, it's funny though in some ways I would have preferred him to have a real stinker having a couple average games where he's scored "okay" is more confusing than anything because I know how big he can go & it just goes to show how favorable his game is to SC scores, when he has a good game he's going to go 100+ & when he has a great game he's going to go large!
