I tried to be good but I can see I'm going to run out of trades again this year.

Ablett > Ward
Collins > Docherty

After these moves 2 trades left. Still have Kerridge as FWD/MID cover.
Cox as RUC cover.
Libba as MID cover / loophole when he is back.
Backline very thin with Logan Austin and Trent McKenzie on the bench.

I think Mckenzie is only a week or 2 away & Austin in playing at least...

What I really like about Docherty is that his last 3 weeks numbers and impact wise have only been solid but in SC terms he's knocked out 110, 87, 107. He does really seem a must have.

Gaz to Pendles & maybe Petracca out though only really Clay Smith appeals to me and i'd only make 100k from that deal but would have good cover it would seem, really impressed with Smith's tackling and his disposal is better than I thought it was.

One from left field as bench cover would be Touk Miller, was released into a genuine midfield role on the weekend after playing a lot as a FWD this year and banged out a big score, has a friendly SC game being contested and clean, with 2 starting mids out can definitely see him going 90 from here till the end of the season

Highly recommend Clay Smith this weekend lads if the trades are in the bank. I'm personally keeping Kerridge but will use Smith (Playing GC) as my Emg and hopefully he goes well enough 85-100 to keep Kerridge off the ground.

I'm locking in:

Gaz to Lachie Neale
Petracca to Clay Smith

See more upside in Kerridge SC scoring potential, Petracca just doesn't find the pill enough.

This will leave me with 4 trades left and around $160k in the bank to upgrade Kerridge next week.

Smith is playing Dahls role for now but I don't see him being dropped if and when Dahl comes back. A solid 75-80 DPP bench player for the last 7 weeks is worth every bit of 240k.

Ablett -> Pendles. Simple.

Lots of talk about Bont. I brought him in when he was sub-$500k because I thought he was a bargain and he's been awesome. He's the 3rd highest average from round 7 onwards and can't see him slowing down. Hate saying it because he's been my POD, but I'd pick him over Neale every day of the week. In fact, I'd almost say he's a must-have and he'll go at least 115 for the rest of the year, probably even 120. He'll be discounted a bit next year due to starting the year in the forward line and he'll be the first guy I pick in 2017.

Was going to bring Pendles in but im thinking of getting Neale, Danhan or Stevens instead and saving some cash.

GAJ and Liba for Dan Han and Stevens give me $129K

I'll be taking Pendles but disagree with Bont over Neale. Hard to split them but only one shit score for Neale when Robinson got hold of him Vs Bont having multiple 80's & 90's puts Neale in front for me.

Depends on how you look at Bont. Ignore his form prior to round 7 for a start because he was playing forward prior to that. He's had 2 scores below 112 since then and both times he got 20+ disposals and scored well in AF but just his DE% was lower and he scored poorly in SC.

I'm not keen on Neale because he's so handball-happy and almost needs 40 touches just to get a SC score over 125. In fact in round 6 he did that and still only scored 110. He'll consistently score but won't have the big games that Bont will have. He also stands out in the Freo midfield now, while Bont has plenty of others to draw the attention away.

The other thing to consider is Freo's only game against a side outside the top 8 is a trip to Metricon to play the Suns. Conversely, the Dogs only play 2 sides in the top 8 on the run home.

There's the other concern. When's Dalhaus back?

There could be a chance Bont goes back forward later in the season Vs these bottom 8 teams as a freshen up for finals.

maybe too late in the season for this craziness but Jack Macrae has averaged 100.1 and 99.9 last 2 seasons currently siting on 94.4, if you think he''ll end up close to 100ave like he has last 2 season he's going to come home strong...

Neale or Sloane?
Lids or Roo?
Tough calls to be made the week.
