Gee Quadzilla was bad yesterday. 38 SC points from 67% game time. I know he didn't look to be trying, but if you're going to be uber-premium you should be racking up 80-90 when you're not trying.

Was considering him but can't pick him as someone to make the jump from premium to uber-premium after that effort.

Heard that rumour, but why would they put/leave him out there if he had an injury?

If he does have an injury excuse, that's also a good reason to stay clear of him.

I've been playing around with either him or Parker in my side but can't seem to make it work. Love the way Ollie goes about it but I can see Parker having a Hannebery type year.

I have seen draft teams that are solving the mid-priced madness by running 3 rookies on field in defence or 4 up forward. I think it is too early to tell if that will work. If it can work I'll probably do it but as you say you don't want to miss that extra mid rookie gem if he exists.
Exactly what I have at the moment:
3 Backline keepers (one a bit speculative)
6 Deep in the midfield (Libba M6)
Goldy & Stef
2 500K + Forwards (4x rookies forwards on field)

The main thing that would sway me from the deep midfield is pure mid rookies turning up but they seem pretty thin? I mean they are there but not in the same nos as prior years. The best ones seem to have M/F status which allows then the stretched out forward line.

Fantasy Freako has just retweeted a post from Pendles saying he won't be playing back this year - normal role and maybe a bit more resting forward with the reduced rotations.

Word getting around that Jelwood will be ready to go for R1, if that's the case will you be putting him in. I may try and squeeze
Selwood in pushing Libba out to M6.

In further injury new D.Swallow will be out for longer than expected, could possibly be out until the byes.
Which is probably good news for those who like Lonergan.

If we take Lonergan we are taking him on potential rather than track record ... has only played a handful of games and while he has tonned up here and there his averages have been low. Could be a stepping stone. Would need more than a couple of steps forward to become a keeper, right? Needs to take about four big steps forward ...

Oh yeah. Definitely a matter of faith.

Oh well ... given the rest of my team is looking *famous last words* completely cast iron I can probably afford to spec one player in the backline ...

I think Lonergen is a fine pick in the backline, given his elite junior history, high draft choice, a couple years in the system and seemingly poised for a role change (helped by multiple injuries to players ahead of him).

I'll take him over Dangerfield purely on price.
