Kieren Jack

Wondering everyones thoughts on Kieren Jack? Will he average around 105-110 for the rest of the season? last year only averaged 102 but 2013 and 2012 he averaged 109 and 112

His scores this season are as follows:
126, 121, 69, 54, 78, 110, 105, 107, 119, 107, 95 and 112
He had a stint of bad games round 3, 4 and 5
But his last 5 round average is 108 and average for the season without those 3 horrible games is 111.3
Surely at 524k he presents some value? I'm not asking for him to average above 110 for the remainder of the season but I'd be happy with anything above 105 as I don't have that much trust in anyone else under 550k that I don't have.

Also a very durable pick (out of his 8 seasons he's played 21-22 games 6/8 times and one of those seasons was his first year when he played 2 games)

Also seems to be getting less attention with Parker and Hannebery dominating this year (and all the other guys in the deep Sydney midfield, like Kennedy, McVeigh and Mitchell)

the upside to that is consistency but the downside is he used to get 150+ every now and then and now he's just consistent 100-120s because of how much the pill gets shared around in the deep mid

He's not a bad pick but he doesn't seem to be smashing it like in 2013 where he seemed capable of some huge scores.

I'd predict that he'd be "solid" rather than spectacular.

He only offers value at that price if he can average more than 105 I think and if he can't put some huge scores on the park you'd certainly not want a repeat of his lows.

I had Jack last year and enjoyed his scores early in the seaon, but really faded late in the season. With only 3 scores above 100 after round 12 and averaged only 96 in the last 11 games. So on the back of my experience of last year i'd say no, but this year is like no other so who knows what will happen.

I've had Treloar for a couple of weeks and he's been great for me, Ward/Shiel/Griffen all seem to get attention before him. Capable of some monster scores too.

This would not satisfy me that he'll go at the scores you'd like. I'll support the FBD view here - better options at this price ...

I've had him a few times over the years. So inconsistent. Dont put yourself through the pain. I'd take Parker or Hanners over him.

In relation to Jack I'd recommend staying away. I have him in draft and he's been a disappointment.

I think if I'm getting Rocky the best idea for my team is trading Sloane to McDonald this week (using DPP in Newnes) then next week trading Oxley to Rocky (and move Newnes back) that way I effectively am using Oxley as my cover for Rocky being injured this week

A bit left of field, but I think I'm going to be bringing in Brandon Ellis for Sloane. Low score of 90, average of 107 and I think he can keep it up with Lids, Cotchin and Dusty getting all the attention.

I have a Richmond supporter mate that brought him in last week, was on my radar but didn't have a really good look at him, thanks mate, he's a good chance in coming in this week for me
