It was a let down but he did have 30 touches which is a good sign and if he laid some tackles it would have boosted his scoreIt wasn't worth the wait

In September!Dog Dog on crutches today with a foot injury, also nursing a busted nose. Will this ever end??
Only relevant to the 3900 odd coaches that have him but Cat's have accepted Hawkins 1 week suspension.
Yeah I was surprised they didn't appeal. There was absolutely nothing in it, but then again, if your going to make contact anywhere near the head, you run the risk.
I con sort of understand why he copped a week, but it just doesn't line up with other decisions they have made. So inconsistent.
Both were graded as intentional and low-impact which seems right to me, both seemed to have sufficient force. Didn't see the follow-up of Lynch's one so not sure if he got straight up or stayed down for a while, if he did then could argue it was medium-impact. Hawkins was high contact therefore higher penalty. I don't have any issue with the penalties dealt out. If you don't want to be suspended then don't go around punching blokes in the head and I have no sympathy for anyone who throws a punch and gets suspended as a result.I can't believe it was classified as intentional. That's where the 2 weeks weeks came in. Anything else would've been 1. Didn't give them any grounds for appeal at all. But never mind Tom lynch with his intentional gut punch. Just fine him some lunch money and move on, nothing to see here. The system is still a shambles.

One could argue that a gut punch should carry a slightly higher penalty than it does and I don't have a problem with that, should still be lower penalty than a high contact however.
Plus I think the jumper punch was intentional but I doubt a punch in the face was his intention. That's the issue I have with the grading. The fact he got the same as Viney is a joke.My issue with Hawkins one is that it's more a motion, he has a hand full of jumper while pushing him more than
lining a guys up then belting him.

Becomes relevant in the fact that it may improve the chances of Walla not to be rested this week. I don't think the dons have the depth to lose 2 small defenders. Especially before coming up against the hawks who boast the likes of Cyril, Poppy, Breust... Walla V Cyril would be exciting to watchNot sure if it's overly relevant but Mark Baguley has been ruled out indefinitely after undergoing knee surgery this week.

Go Bombers!Mitchell and Gunston expected to miss the clash against the Bombers.
