I just tried to log into RDT and my team from last year is still there.
Ended up having Higgins, Swan, Fyfe Goldy all on the bench with Heppell on field with 0, and with $113k still in the bank.
That's messed up.

I ended up 28th in RDT last year, after being 7th for a little while there...... would happily join a league. Love that they paid $500 to those guys in spots 3-10 last year. Gotta love that.
I ended up one premium defender short, and had to play Adam Oxley against everyone else's premo defender. It eventually caught up with me. Traded a bit too hard through the middle rounds, but then again, that aggressive trading got me up to 7th. If Oxley could have matched the top defenders for the second half of the year, I would have gone close to top 10.Stiff luck there
Shit that's right, I made the last 8 of the eliminator too. That was great fun.
From memory I got lucky in that I left out Ablett and Rockliff. Was a huge help.Feel like posting your team when you make it mate
I 100% agree, I'll need some tips, never done RDT before, only supercoach, I know scoring is different
The scoring is exactly the same as AFL fantasy. It's very straightforward, mainly because it's purely quantitative. You want guys who find it, kick it and lay tackles (think Luke Hodge, Adam Treloar types). These are worth 4 points each. 2 points for handballs and marks. 8 for a goal. 1 for a FK and negative 3 for a FA. So if a player lays a tackle that leads to a FK and kicks a goal from the free kick, they can earn 17 points in one play. You can have guys who have an OK day winning the footy but lay 11 tackles and all of a sudden their score is up there with the best of the day. Hit outs are worth 1 pt, so if you know Goldy is going to have 60 HOs, he's a pretty safe choice as captain.
The biggest difference is no RL. Therefore no VC loophole. They do have a RL for the split rounds only (about 3/year)
