CEY missing this week and unlikely to play next week as well, creates a bit of a predicament. CEY, Vanders, Heeney, Miller all have a few more weeks of mooing. With Glenn on the bubble next week and I am sure there will be others, do we consider culling CEY early.

It pains me but I am playing around with trading CEY. It will give me 574k and the opportunity to grab JPK/Ebert/Sheil. Next week I could swing Salem into the mids and pick up Glenn that way.

Anyone have any thoughts?

I'm guessing that losing Salem this week doesn't get you quite the same opportunities ...

You can't swing Salem to mid's. But I'm thinking the same thing regarding cey in order to get bellchambers off my ground quicker than I was planning. But your cash position will need to be considered depending what you did last week with your trades.

Salem a fwd only...lots of mid-fwds in most teams I'm guessing tho.
If CEY is only a 1-weeker...but if he's more...tough call.

Well, Salem could be traded from the forwards, if you had, say, a Swan, Gray or Krak to move from the mids. I didn't think my question was all that dumb ...

Sorry I meant I can swing Krak fwd when I trade out Salem.

Salem will give me 522k. Any Port supporter give me a positive spin on Ebert. 8 seasons and highest avg is 100. Just not confident about those stats.

Yeah it is a tough call.

Ebert was one of those you mentioned being interested in this week. So Salem to Ebert this week leaves you with more choices next week, no? CEY loses no bucks, is a week closer to back, might come back early, who knows?

Last year I grabbed Ebert and then watched him deteriorate. He was all I could afford at the time, Port was going wild and I wanted a bit of the way they were scoring. Turned out an abysmal trade.

But don't let me put you off. 2015 is a different year, no?

Absolutley 2015 is a new year. If you didn't trade CEY this week, there would be no way you traded him next week if he was due back the week after.

You're right, but you may find that next week one of your other rookies stalls in price or gets injured. So by trading Salem this week you get the chance to keep CEY who isn't going to have a price change.

It really just gives you more opportunities to wait and see what happens.

Nah, Cool9, that's 40 posts on the new site - since 23 April.
(Speaking for writeoff in case he feels any answer he makes will sound arrogant. Sorry writeoff.)

Yeah, thanks Rupert. I knew this and was being facetious. Funny how hard that is to convey in uni-code text!

PS I've been around since the start myself but a little distracted the last couple years.

Sorry Cool9 - I should have realized. Sometimes only a sledge-hammer works with me.
