North have confirmed they will be resting up to 10 players on the weekend.

Does this means the likes of Goldy and Higgins may be sitting on the side lines??

FUBS!!!!!
This makes a mockery of SC, and hardly seems in the spirit of the VFL as we once knew it.

Agree, this whole weekend is just ridiculous next teams just wont play if positions have been finalized before completion.

Next year SC should finish a week early with this type of crap happening. With most teams filled with players from the best teams, then those players getting rested is just crap.

Very disappointing when you've spent 30 trades to build a decent team. I think we all know how to cop a genuine injury or lack of form, even penalties, but copping rests is not the spirit at all ...

Early in the week I was excited about going along to cheers my Rooboys and expecting a high class game against some good opposition. Not even going to bother now. Its a joke what this round has become

Feel sorry for those in contention for the 50k and getting hit hard by the outs. Definitely leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

Might be time to introduce another bye towards the end of the season. Seemed to work ok last year.

I had a quick word with Jake of Hezza's Dogs who is currently #1 on Tuesday, and he was not looking forward to the teams at all.

He has Higgins, Goldy, Fyfe, Hodge and Swan so hasn't faired to badly and should hold on. Fingers crossed for him.

The guy in 3rd has Higgins, Swan and Goldy but can cover Goldy with Ryder. Its gonna be close only 141 points between them

SC got it right this year by making grand finals a week earlier. If the AFL don't change the fixture setup for next year and this just happens again then SC have to call it off after round 22. When there's 50k at stake, it's not fair to have a week like this completely ruin the year.

How many have we all got starting this week? I've got 20 currently... And that's hoping that Oxley, Edwards and Steele all get named. And with no late changes. Too late for SC to flick a switch so this week is only a best 18?

Yeah it's very tight at the top and hezza would be worried. 140 odd points is nothing. Getting the Capt choice right will be crucial.

I got 21 starters and if Steele gets a gig, will have 22.

Not really carnage but still news.

Luke Hodge caught drink-driving after social function on Thursday night but will receive no further penalty from the club.

Doesn't seem to end!
Bennell now going after an indiscretion and Suns confirmed they will trade him.
They really had no choice. He would have known another indiscretion and that was it. Hopefully it opens his eyes to the reality, he cant get by on talent alone. Only a couple of clubs will consider him imo.

If I was a Suns supporter I'd be very unhappy. He's got such an up-side to him if he can get his act together. Look at other players who had similar problems. eg Stevie J.
As a Sainter I'm unsure if we should try for him or not. I'm leaning to the not side as we have too many young and inexperienced players to take the risk. But I'd think any club confident of their "structures" would be happy to have him.

Not sure of the truth behind this, but apparently Jack Martin was with him when he got in trouble. Not sure the Saints would want him leading your youngsters astray either. Maybe one of the WA sides might take a risk on him.
