I have known these books for over 55 years - I got "Now we are six" for my sixth birthday ...

Please, those of you with young 'uns, get 'em into this classic literature.

I still remember, perhaps my earliest poem ...

Halfway down the stairs Is a stair
Where I sit.
There isn't any
Other stair
Quite like
It.
I'm not at the bottom,
I'm not at the top;
So this is the stair
Where
I always
Stop.

Halfway up the stairs
Isn't up
And it isn't down.
It isn't in the nursery,
It isn't in town.
And all sorts of funny thoughts
Run round my head.
It isn't really
Anywhere!
It's somewhere else
Instead!

Owl resides in a tree called The Chestnuts, situated right in the center of the 100 Acre Wood. This reside of his is described as being an “old world residence with great charm” and has amenities like pull-bell and door-knocker on the door. Unfortunately that house was blown away in a storm mention in the book The House at Pooh Corner. Thereafter Eeyore set about locating a new residence for Owl and manages to find what he thinks is the ‘perfect’ residence for Owl. Eeyore had no idea that the house belonged to Piglet. Nevertheless Piglet invites Owl to take his residence. It is presumed that Owl did take up his new residence when he created a sign naming the place “The Wolery”.

"Underneath the knocker there was a notice which said:
PLES RING IF AN RNSER IS REQIRD.
Underneath the bell-pull there was a notice which said:
PLEZ CNOKE IF AN RNSR IS NOT REQID."

And yes, Christopher Robin did write these for Owl.

I reckon it's good Prospy!

When I was a newborn, my older sister gave me a Charlie Brown soft toy. Always loved Peanuts and Charlie Brown ever since!
