Zorko isnt the worry its his team mates. They lost by more than 60 points in 9 games last year. I think he is number 3 behind Beams and Rocky as well
The Lions have impressed in the preseason. They're still bottom 4, but their gamestyle will make them more competitive.
I wouldn't worry about Zorko, he's alongside Beams in a fully fit Lions midfield. I can see Rocky playing forward because his disposal and decision-making is poor. His attitude is a real concern too. I can't see Fagan playing him in a fully fit midfield. Saw a perfect example of all of these points last week. Lions create a turnover in defensive 50m and make a fast break down the wing. Rocky leads up and collects the ball just forward of centre wing. There's a free Lion forward 80m from goal and another heading inside 50m. Rocky marks and doesn't even look forward. Looks nowhere initially then looks to the centre where he sees nothing. Eventually spots the free Lion 80m out and kicks a high floater on his head. 3 opponents have the time to close and smash him, turn the ball over take it forward and kick a goal. It was lazy. It was arrogant. It was poor execution. It was not "team play". He won't be coming anywhere near my SC team and I suspect Fagan won't be keen to have him in the midfield either.
Zorko and Beams are the midfield leaders, and seriously considering both for my SC team. The others rotating through would be Rich, Taylor, Rocky, McLuggage, Mathieson, Keays, Bastinac, Bell and Bewick depending on fitness and form. There's also other kids like Barrett, Clayton, Jansen and Berry who might get a look in if form warrants.
