    2017 Forward Primos

Can't see much wrong with the Macrae pick either. Seemed to play midfield in the Dogs v Brisbane game and that's all I need to see. If there was any sniff of a forward line role then I'd agree with the doubters, but until then he's locked in at F2.

    2017 Midfield Midpricers

I see JOM as a similar option to Libba last year. For mine, realistically the best case scenario is he plays 20+ games and ends up being my last mid upgrade or possibly sits at M8/M9. If he's a genuine keeper all the better, but I'll be selecting primarily for early points and cash generation.

    2017 Team Structure

3/0/5 5/2/4 2/0/1 2/1/4 Currently running 3 mid pricers, but until a few days ago I was strongly considering just 1, with a 6/1/4 midfield and a 2/0/6 forward line. Jaeger and Roughead's recent performances have forced a rethink for now, but I haven't ruled out returning to this. Personally...

    2017 Forward Midpricers

Yolmen doesn't make my watch list. Hasn't shown enough when provided opportunities in the past for mine. Potential to average 85-90+ but could just as easily play 2s for portions of the year. Hampton, Smith and Laird are likely to play mid at times this year as well. Of Miller, Wingard or...

    2017 Backline Midpricers

Pretty decent I think. By all reports over injuries and I recall a media report recently quoting Pyke as saying midfield is his best position. With a shallow midfield and a couple of injuries to key crow mids already, I see Hampton as a strong chance to see a lot of midfield rotation early in...

    2017 Ruck Cover

Good point. Forgot about the byes. Probably rules Witts out for me then. Following on from this, can anyone make a case for starting any of the Suns or Power premiums? I'm leaning to avoiding as a rule.

    2017 Ruck Cover

My two cents, as attractive as Witts is at R2, and I'm also seriously considering it, I think Ryder would need to be selected as a forward with a R/F rookie at R3. Would also want to have confidence that my F7/8 will play regularly. That way if Witts stinks/gets dropped early (entirely possible)...

    Round 22 Discussion

Fair point, but last 3 weeks Docherty is averaging 101, which is slightly down compared to his year overall. I think JJ is a nice POD and the dogs do have a somewhat better run than blues.

    Round 22 Discussion

I think S Selwood is likely to go to Rich in which case trading him out is good option. Docherty is the obvious option but he's been a bit down lately. JJ or Boyd are solid alternatives.

    Round 22 Discussion

4 trades left. Mids are probably the weakest area of my team. Mids: Rocky, Danger, Pendles, Ward, Hanners, R. Gray, Sloane, Priddis. Finding it hard to pick who to trade out but thinking Ward to Bont and Gray to JPK or Selwood. Any better options out there?

    Round 18 Trades

I already have buddy but he's definitely the best of the value picks in the forwards currently. I hope we get news on severity of Hall's injury. Would hate to do use 2 trades and see Hall make a full recovery for next week.

    Round 18 Trades

Depends where you sit in your leagues? If you're near the pointy end then I would definitely hold Rance.

    Round 18 Trades

If Hall is confirmed as out for multiple it's a tricky option for those without bank. I'm in that camp and the only similarly priced decent option is Kenndey. With 6 trades left do I bring in Kennedy and hope to get on the end of a few big scores or burn 2 trades and go up to Z. Merrett? Going...

    Rookies 2016

Really keen on a downgrade option this week. Toss up between D. Tucker and J. Paine. I see Paine's JS as slightly stronger while Tucker probably has the edge in scoring potential. Can't decide and torn on whether it may be best to ignore both until a better option appears next week. Anyone have...

    Rookies 2016

Any thoughts as to js and scoring potential for Dougal Howard. On the bubble and thinking he may be a stronger trade in option than Bailey Williams. Could get some solid time in the ruck. Don't really love either option but with DBJ named (dammit) he has to go.

Round 6 trades...... Fyfe to ???

Sloane is a gun but I'd be slightly concerned bringing in a player that relies heavily on the contested side of the game to generate points. With stoppages down so markedly this year, I think we're already seeing a drop off in scoring for the pure inside midfielders like JPK, Priddis, Rocky and...

    Rd 3 trades

Any love for Rocky to Ward? Probably prefer R. Gray, but don't quite have the cash. Parker is over hyped (comparisons to Danger and Fyfe in some circles), but at the good price I can understand the enthusiasm.

    X v. Y

Danger/Sidebottom Is a great option, but I like Danger/Shiel even more.

Could switch KK with Laird? But like yourself, I'm wary of the crows draw, particularly early.
