Fair call on possibly playing out of position but there I still feel like its a fairly risky selection to pick a 26yr old who last year averaged 72.
Yes it's a lucrative position for Kade Simpson and Docherty not for many others though.
In 2017 Docherty averaged 114 and Simpson averaged 93...
I'm not sure his scoring is as awesome as people think. He has tonned up 4 times out of 31 games. His average dropped by 10 from 2017-2018 and he's 26 so I'm not sure where the improvement is going to come from. At his price you'd have to see him as a keeper. It's a big no from me
Injury list still says 3-4 weeks away so doesn't look likely unfortunately! I brought in Treloar into my classic team last week and trade him out this week. :(
Looking at the KISS method this week by going with probably the 2 most popular trades this week.
ZGL>Smith
T.Kelly> Walters
Smith probably a must have to gain some quick cash pre-byes and Walters looks good to be a top 6 fwd and is absolute rock bottom price! Gives me $358k to launch into the...
Well I missed the boat on him early and considering jumping on when he bottoms out so my suggestion would be no, he is class and will bounce back providing he avoids injury.
Thats irrelevant this year imo, the past couple times Mason Cox has played against us which in the past has hampered Grundy's scoring but Cox doesn't seem to be affecting his scores at all now and before that Grundy was not really SC relevant.
I'm going with what will probably be the 2 most...
It's not an ideal situation though as you're going to want to grab Danger and Titch around the same point and could be both around 650k. I don't envy you
Unfortunately you might have to hope/pray that Bugg and/or Jacobs do a number on him in the next couple weeks and he becomes affordable in the near future.
If you picked Kelly you almost have to back him in. He's averaging 105 and still every chance to be a top 10 mid. Not a trade out option IMO. Only premo mids I would consider trading out would be Zerrett or Zorko
Hogan looks an interesting one, however the 2 big scores have come against North and BL. I'd be taking his scores with a grain of salt, can't see him going 120+ consistently enough, and would expect a few stinkers being thrown in there.
Why would you trade Smith?? His lowest score in 3 weeks is 86?? Everyone played an absolute stinker for us and he was our top scorer. 80 is probably his basement, most likely a top 6 forward. I can't see how you could possibly justify trading him out.
You are correct about Merrett though...
I've gone the same gamble with Mcgrath as a one-eyed bomber. Really my only concern, don't think I'll trade him out though. He will have some good games when he settles into his new role but unfortunately won't be consistent enough in our currently poo midfield. Already went Hibberd > Simpson...
