Agreed Papley looked very composed out there. His is JS now looks good at least in the short term as he is a different type to McGlynn who I thought might push him out once fit. Sidebottom looking at 3+ weeks im thinking.

What are peoples thoughts on the lowish (non Goldy) ruck scores thus far? Are we seeing fewer stoppages due to deliberate OOB interpretation forcing players to keep the ball alive more often? If so does this increase the value of rucks who get less of their pts from hitouts?

Bombers list looks woefully short of IMs thus I fail to envisage Bird playing anywhere else. If you take away his round 16 games vs Hawks where he was subbed early (20 pts) this puts his ave at 80 which equates to a 20% discount. Assuming he plays the IM roll (im 99% sure) a 348K player...

For me its less about where a particular player ranks in terms of his fellow line but rather the difference in point output vs price. Laird is ranked 8th for current Backs based on last year with an ave of 93.81 whilst Docherty is ranked 16th with 87.68 a 6.13 pt difference. Thus the question...

I hope the boys do DEF last its the hardest line for mine thus best with max NAB info. As for Laird gutsy call to pay over 500K for a Back with only 1 year of decent scoring history albeit a good one + possible upside.
