Small query on Mountford is the absence of Cunnington who will return form suspension next week. Not sure it will be Mountford who makes way for him however it adds slightly to concerns over his js.

I went same way but with both Nank + Ryder up fwd. 87 from Ryder was ok hopefully he can work his way into the season and ave ~95.

Roos cant play Goldy, Brown Daw + Pruess in the same team way too top heavy. Petrie is more mobile than Pruess and even then I didnt like it. Without knowing anything Id assume Daw hasnt been selected or perhaps Brown pulled up sore after his VFL prac match last week.

Not sure that speculative R13 byes are the WTG in DEF this year considering that many proven performers share it.

Personally im finding DEF as the toughest line in terms of confidence levels re individual selection. Currently I have neither of the above with some concerns at their price points such as Shaw's perhaps diminishing roll and Doc with a lack of scoring history albeit he looked amazing last year.

You could always start Ryder at R2 and move him to the FWDs later via trade.

Hard working farm boy from FNWA who perhaps lacks a little polish at this stage however it wouldnt surprise if he pushes for and R1 spot maybe in a run with type roll. Is in the mix along with a number of other NM youngsters.

Mountford was drafted with a late pick in 2015 after testing really well at the combine top 10 in ~5 different tests including 4th in the beep. Had an excellent year for Werribee last season finishing 2nd in their b+f.

He was a little unlucky not to debut last season being named emerg a number of times after overcoming early season injury. Id expect both he and Durdin to play a decent amount of games this season.
