They've played 2 of last year's 4 prelim finalists and have Geelong in Geelong next week. Its a shocking run to start with. Rocky is proven but clearly not right. Rich has always been up and down and obviously still can't shake a tag. I don't think they're bad picks necessarily, just unlucky. I've got Martin as well and I'm still comfortable with that. Will wait and see on Rocky though.
Not too many other issues with my team ATM, which is great I guess. Two biggest problems are Barlow and Rocky. Annndddd I really want to get Z. Merrett into my forward line after having him in for a fair chunk of the preseason. It is either that or getting JJ in through DPP
His role hasn't changed from last year. He's too slow to be damaging as a half forward, he doesn't kick goals and doesn't get enough of the ball. I only had him because FURL said he would be back in the midfield this year but as usual Ross is full of it. He's gone for me. I just haven't settled on who for yet.
In his press conference Ross was asked whether there needed to be changes and he essentially said "no" and "that's not what we're about". I think we can take it from that that Barlow is pretty much a gone-er ...
Someone would have to provide a pretty good argument as he would be staying in my side. So far Freo has been beaten by sides with slick ball movement and lots of run. Eagles and Kangas next 2 games. Could very well be 0-4 before they play Blues.
Have to tell myself not to consider Marc Murphy, I do have a bit of a soft spot for him... No idea why, don't even like Carlton, I just like watching Murphy, something to do with his name maybe?
For some reason, Murphy has grown on me over time as well. Maybe it's because he has copped a fair bit of criticism and at the end of the day when he is fit and a decent coach, he is a bloody good player.

Nearly the Bombers best year ever already!
Murph was great for me in 2011-12, so I wouldn't hesitate getting him in again. He reminds of of Selwood a bit in the way he goes about it, and given my unashamed mancrush on Joel, it goes a long way to explaining why I'm a Murphy fan as well. Will be Interested to see how he goes against a class midfield today.
