I just don't know if the value is worth the slightly lower scores come the end of the year, especially because I'm in a cash league I'm currently 1st in, whilst only 1825 in overall no point trying to win overall from here

I am finding it hard to pick the value guys this year, I don't know why, maybe I need to grow some balls again.... Maybe I'm burnt by last year picking up Devon Smith, Yarran, Sloane and Rockliff so many times... Most of the value blokes I picked up burnt me so much (apart from Selwood late)

That's 8 winnable games in a row. I'd say that's a pretty easy stretch of games. I haven't written Port off for finals yet, they might just build up a bit of confidence and go on a big run.

Or they could put up the complete tripe they've done for the first 6 rounds.....

They run into the form team of the competition next week in the blues.....so maybe hold off a week.

Looking at N Riewoldt's role so far this season I think he looks pretty likely to go 95+ this season, it's hard to go him over your Martins, Zorkos, Montagna ect, keep in mind though Saints play their next 9 games at Etihad where he averages 110 over his career (but only 93.5 last season)

If memory serves me correctly both he and joey started well last year and although not finishing off as well were still in top fwds on avg. Big fan of them both as players and loyal servants to club but with hall, lynch, dusty, jroo all r13 bye players and at their price comparison think its a no from me atm. I am looking for a r13 fwd prem next week but feel lynch or dusty for me. With GC, rich and St kilda position on ladder might even be better off waiting and adding one in rnd 14.
Hows that bye week for low placed teams gc, carl, rich, coll, saints with adelaide the outlier and Carlton the 2nd highest placed team after them (havent checked ladder, guessing). Woo hoo.

Im thinking the same thing, wondering if he's worth bringing in this week. That 53 makes me weary but other than that he's been solid

I have him and happy i do. I think top 6 fwds this year. Playing mid, racks up possies, wont get tagged, woosha will get as much mid time into him to help with next year. Solid selection and to be honest speculative with no conviction from me when i did it but very pleased so far.

Im really looking at Merrett this week, but im still concerned that the bombers will drop off later in the season and Merrett's scores will suffer as a result.

Even though he's been really solid all year and i love watching him play, i dont know if i can trust him to keep up these scores for the whole year

I'm not so worried about him dropping off when Essendon drops off... I'm worried more about Merrett individually dropping off, I know he's a gun, but he is still only 20 years old

I was just thinking the same thing.
I do think it is after what we pid for him, i just think that becuse we were so spoilt early on, that we just feel a little robbed.

I'm still confident just because he was big in some big loses last season, today he's just been pretty poor by foot which is compounded by a lack on contested ball, would really love to see him attend more centre bounces though

Apparently he only attended 2 centre bounces in the 1st half. Not sure what Rocket is thinking.

His effort going the other way was awful, though game was long over, if he's not playing on the ball but atleast on the wing I think he'll be fine for 95ave if he get's moved forward though we're in big strife.

As a SC scorer 100% he's too good to pass up, but injury and rest potential is there,
At the moment he's 90% likely to be in my team come Sunday
