I'm not sold on JJ as yet, i'm concerned that he will be shut down soon. Will be watching this week against the Hawks before i make a decision on him.
I would be waiting for Zorko to drop before jumping on. He dropped to as low as 406K last year. Not saying that will happen this year, but a couple of couple of low scores and you will be able to get him a lot cheaper at some stage.@Tevez17 don't jump to early on Zorko.
I'm not going Zorko myself at the price but I can see the argument for going Zorko early. Beams out. Rocky with a niggle and underdone. Other Brissy mids under clouds for one reason and another. All this means Zorko is likely to get plenty of mid time and start strong. Might drop off a bit later if the other mids get back and get going and Zork pushes forward a bit more. I don't see Zorko as a big bargain but he looks a solid option and if you buy the theory he might start stronger than he finishes you'd get him now or maybe not at all.I would be waiting for Zorko to drop before jumping on. watching the games, we only picked him for his increased midfield time and yesterday i saw him attend like 3-5 centre bounces and just run forward after that. He looked slow and was always underpressure when he got he pill. Personally i don't think he will get better.
Is this a running joke now rather than the like button? I distinctly remember you pulling someone up for this last week.
He is shaping up to be one of the biggest ground specialists (Docklands) in the AFL.I'm not sold on JJ as yet, i'm concerned that he will be shut down soon. Will be watching this week against the Hawks before i make a decision on him.
I concur... We've seen it before with Birchall, Houli and every other outside running half back. If they're that good and making such a big difference to their team then they get shut down. JJ's true test will come from now on as he learns to cope with a tag or at least a defensive minded forward.I'm not sold on JJ as yet, i'm concerned that he will be shut down soon. My recollections are that the Zork is one of those few players that gets better fantasy scores by playing forward. I'll wait for the replies to see the statsI'm not going Zorko myself at the price.....
All the reasons you gave to pick him os jist another reason to be cautious i think. As you said with so many mids out just means more pressure on him.
Seems to have played well whether there's their best mids in or not & in big loses, 3 out 4 seasons he's averaged 100 which makes him probably 2nd or 3rd most reliable forward option, at the price I'm not sure who's a safer bet to sideways trade from Barlow

Can't even think of someone that could challenge him, one of the Hawks boys in Tassie? One of the Cats at Kardinia?

As for Barlow, personally i'm holding to see how he fairs in the next few.
Keays had 39 touches in the NEAFL on the weekend, fair chance he gets a call up with all the injuries at Brisbane. Might pay to hold him and not waste a trade out then having to trade him back in later.Looking at using my first trades this week to bring in missed Rookies. Papley and most likely Daniel Wells as he looks like hes fit and back to his best and that price will be a nice little cash cow.
Papley for De Goey
Wells for either Keays/Gresham
