Haha 57mins later & Doc is in my team... perfect world I'd start Shaw, Adams, Laird but all same bye week unfortunately.
That's my problem too. When I first threw a team together they were my first 3 defenders picked. Then I got familiar with the byes and waved my defence bye bye.

I suppose it being the last bye maybe you could plan to trade hard before then

Any love for Howe?
After he settled in to the back-line last year, from rnd.7 on, he averaged 100.56 over 16 games. He had a high of 135 with 8 games over 100, 3 in the 90s, 3 in the 80s and only 2 scores under 80 - 58, 71.
This was after an injury-interrupted pre-season where he didn't play until rnd.2. In the previous 4 years he didn't miss a game.
He's priced at $500,500 for a 92av. If you need the odd $50,000 he might be worth a go in lieu of one of the other back premiums.
[Disclaimer - Just a thought. I don't have him.]

I've given him some thought and he makes some appeal due to the reasons outlined above. The "only one good year so far" factor is slightly off putting and his bye round doesn't work too well with the other backline primos I've already set my heart on ... but he is one of the 3-4 backline primos in still considering.

Not sure that speculative R13 byes are the WTG in DEF this year considering that many proven performers share it.

Laird had midfield numbers tonight, had my doubts about him but locked for me after that game!

Mills scares me, feel like Kolo could knock similar number for less coin, no doubt Mills is a gun though.

I need to see the last couple of JLT games before locking in Mills. Need to see some good mid time in the last couple of games

Thoughts on Bernard folks? Definitely the type of player I'd enjoy cheering for over a season. I agree with cactus... but the ceiling has me interested... enough to have him sitting at D3.

Correct. But I still like him as a pick in spite of this ... but of course now everyone will be jumping on him now.

He’s been in and out of my side, if I pick him I really want him to improve on his scoring. Obviously midfield time will do this I just want to be sure he’s going to get those minutes. I’ll see how he goes against the Cats, if he gets more midfield time I may just have to put him in.
