Interesting quotes from the article on the Eagles intraclub match - seem to suggest a couple of the new rules did not have a drastic impact.

The new 6-6-6 starting positions appeared to have little impact from centre bounces, with few clean takeaways and plenty of repeat stoppages.

From kick-ins, West Coast skipper Shannon Hurn rarely took the opportunity to take ground, preferring to hit up targets with his weapon of a right boot.

Watched second half of last nights game and I only noticed one defender run out of the goal square. It seemed to me to be a bit of a faster game and the west coast forwards seemed to be the big winners. Will watch todays games with interest.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the new rule limiting when runners can come on to the field?
On first thoughts you would think it favours the better organized teams or ones that have good on-field leaders.
Players like Hodge might become even more important.
