Hi all, a little late notice but a couple of coaches here are wanting to gauge interest in putting together a league for the tour.

If interested throw your name in the hat and if we get enough lets throw a league together.

I've found 2 SCC Leagues - SCC 2018 TOUR and SCC TOUR DE FRANCE
Joined the SCC 2018 Tour league. Now with 3 teams.
You may want to delete the other one - save confusion.

Yeah sorry about that, I'm trying to delete it but I'm not at home atm so will get on the PC shortly.

I can't seem to delete it (or find a way) so I left the other league I don't think it will delete it but there will be no teams in it so hopefully when the comp starts it will fold due to being inactive.

SCC 2018 Tour league is the one to join guys if interested.

Logged in for the first time and reasonably happy with the score, as expected @Rupert topping the table (well done sir).
Then looked at the overall board and was blown away by the scores there. Top of the leader board their are players 1250+, unbelievable.

I forgot that the Tour was starting last night. For some reason I thought there was a week to go.
Luckily I had a preliminary team selected. Preliminary in that I had chosen most of my team but that I was unsure about my last couple of riders.

It really helps if you get the captain right. I lost about 200 points by having Groenewegen instead of Gaviria as "c".
I looked at the top team and noticed it has 6 sprinters and 2 climbers. It should continue to do well for a while but once the mountains start? With only one trade on each rest day the Manager is basically going all out for points in the first week.

Bike design looks quite different this year - anyone ever kept track of GC (ie NOT time trial) bike shapes?

Seems to me this year there are more rounded crossbars, lower junction to headstem, etc ...

There's been contoversy about disc brakes because it has been claimed that if you crash the disc can shatter and send bits of metal everywhere.
The first stage winner on a bike with discs was Kittel last year ridin for Quick Step. I notice Gaviria, this year's Quick Step sprinter, rides with discs too.

Thx @Rupert.
btw, I used to work with Matt Keenan at WorkSafe Victoria. He rode to work (give him some kudos) but was a management suck. Was in the PR Dept., so what's new?
